Debating going to see Clutch w/ Zakk Sabbath in October. On one hand, every Clutch show I've ever been to is amazing and it'd be cool to see Zakk Wylde (only seen him once w/ Ozzy and Newsted), on the other: I'm really strapped for cash at the moment and tickets are like $50/each with fees.

Picked up tickets for the Opeth and Clutch shows in October. Can't wait!

Also found out that Armored Saint will be opening for Queensryche in Chicago in December. I'm really tired of the Saint only playing opening sets, but I can't miss the rare gig.

I agree! They played 3 hours from me a year ago but only as an opening act so I did not go. Now they will be playing here at home on the same tour you are going to see (opening for Queensryche) so yes I will FINALLY get to see the Saint live!

You're in for a treat, @terrell39! They absolutely kill it live.

Are you familiar with the newer stuff? They will most likely play at least a couple off the newest album, plus maybe a La Raza or Revelation track.

Managed to get tickets for another David Gilmour show earlier today. It's going to be the day before I was originally going to see him, so I'm going to be seeing David fucking Gilmour twice in two days!

Excitement has no bounds! :D

Just announced:

I'd love to see Alestorm and Nekrogoblikon just for the fun, but I would want to drink. The Chicago House of Blues is literally the worst place in the city to drink, monetarily and selection-wise. I already have tickets to see Clutch at HOB two weeks after this, so oh well, sorry ye drunken pirates, ye.

They're increasingly silly. I saw them with two other pirate bands a couple of years ago, and earlier this year supporting Sabaton. Fun nights.

Already have tickets :D

Mavericks is terrible to drink at, it's just a cave. There's an overpriced bar and it's in the worst spot.

I honestly only know one or two of their songs, so going to the House of Blues just isn't worth it for me. I'll have to catch them on their next U.S. tour...in 10 years.

DRINK is enough of a song to make it worth getting a ticket. Its about....drinking.

If ever Maidenforums had a massive gathering this song should be played...along with Quest For Fire.
