Sorry, this makes absolutely no sense.

So... if Kevin Shirley decided to turn the volume Steve's bass tracks up, then the songs would sound "different", correct?

Please explain how this is NOT a production decision: Kevin Shirly- the PRODUCER- changing a parameter in the mix of the album.
 
Look guys, we're talking to someone who is clearly ignorant of the music recording process and terminology. Just let him believe that music production is just turning things up and/or down. :devil2:
 
So we learned that what we heard in the sample was in fact Speed of Light and that it will be released on the 14th.

My wife and I were up at about 3am tending to our 3 month old. I was feeding her. I was looking on facebook and saw the update from 2am EST. I guess maybe 8-9am in england.
I put headphones on, and all sound is up but no sound playing. I thought it was odd they made a video with no sound. I finally play it on my computer this morning and I have sound. Very strange. I was positive my phone was set up for sound correctly.

I'd say it's plausible. I mean, the trailers and commercials for the new Fantastic Four movie apparently all feature one particular sequence that's the marketing money shot and it's not even in the actual film. Different medias, yeah, but you never know.

Actually, they removed a whole measure out of the song for the recent sample. So it is weird and mathematically a non sense.
