I think Bruce is probably the best metal singer ever for his age. A lot of his peers started to struggle by this age and did any others still sing the material in its original key at nearly 70?

And Bruce nails nearly all of the classic material apart from Trooper and Aces (which clearly should probably be tuned down now but let's get into that debate again)

I never understood why they changed that Aces High - 2MTM sequence for the second leg. That's a legendary pairing, always works very well. Putting Wrathchild between them is odd. I'm not surprised Adrian started 2 Minutes, it just feel natural after Aces High.

Most amusing page in Run To The Hills book. "Maestro's doing a solo". I think it was his only gig in Maiden or it was the keyboard player or both. Nonetheless in November 1977 from the top of my head.

Getting sabotaged with the ozzy chants, the PA and power being cut multiple times, Big Dave running over the stage with a U.S flag during The trooper, and all the egg pelting, crowned with a lame ass rant from Sharon Osbourne after the show. But luckily Maiden soldiered on and finished the show.

Ozzy canceled a bunch of dates without telling anyone. The venue didn't tell us until we had paid for on site parking and hiked a half a mile to get to the venue and basically said take a full refund or take it as it is. I had just driven close to three hours and was there more for Maiden anyways so we stayed. From what i remember and I'm paraphrasing here Bruce said from stage since Ozzy didn't bother to show up this was no longer Ozzfest and was now a Maiden show and they would be playing an extended set. I didn't think it was that bad and the crowd was really receptive to his little speech. Great show in spite of the heat but sucks my buddy who went with me never did end up getting to see Sabbath live.

I've a few boots from the tour. Bruce criticized the corporate nature of rich cunts getting the best seats and eating hot dogs down the front, which is what really annoyed Sharon. Also Maiden were blowing Ozzy/Sabbath off the stage every night, plus Ozzy was only able to do about half the shows anyway.
