That's more the black sheep than anything. It has its positives that do outweigh its negatives.

The Prophecy just exists. That's all I can really say about it.

I like Prophecy a lot. Possibly the best intro/outro combination out of any Maiden song there is. The verses are a bit awkward, though.

I don't mind Prophecy at all, but it feels like a little bridge in the plot on Seventh Son. I won't use the word 'filler' because I dislike that word intensely, but I struggle to see it standing alone outside the context of the album.

Prophecy is certainly the weakest song on the album, but a weak Seventh Son song is still better than lots of Maiden tunes.

The Prophecy does seem a little awkward and forced, but it does have some unique substance, and that outro guitar is sublime.
