Oddly enough, but I feel that the main riff has a similar VIBE to "Metal Gods" by Priest. Intro is very good, the 'breakdown' section is a highlight for me. Lyrically its Blaze giving tribute to his grandfather (similar to how Di'Anno did in Remember Tomorrow) who fought during World War 1. After listening to one of the live versions (Chile '96) it sounds much better. It's charm was unfortunately buried under the thin production in the studio version. I like how several songs in The X Factor pick their pace right around the solos, so is the case with The Aftermath.
