I would like the band to re-record it (full album) with Blaze Bayley now and re-release it next year, with a proper production.
Honestly, as good as it may be, I would rather like them to focus on new music instead of re-recording previous stuff. They may pull a similar act like Helloween/Killswitch Engage and invite Blaze (or maybe even Paul) to perform some of the songs during live shows.

That would be a great idea. And if Steve has thanked Blaze in the booklet of Senjutsu, it's maybe because of the 50th anniversary. Something special will come next year, some special shows with Paul, Bruce and Blaze. :)

Zero chance that they let the Charlay guy butcher any songs live on their stage as the main singer. Maybe they roll him out to co-sing “Iron Maiden” with the other two at their final-ever show, but that’s about all I could imagine.

I think there is a chance to see Blaze with Maiden on stage next year. For Paul, it's more unsure.

Helloween only did it because Kiske is the best and most iconic singer they have ever had and Hansen is the founding member, not to mention that he had a successful career with Gamma Ray, and the fans had been pushing for a reunion since 1993.

Iron Maiden have had their best singer back in the band since 1999. A comparable situation would have been if Helloween had already reunited with Kiske and Hansen (e.g. for The Legacy - I refuse to call it Keeper pt. 3). Who the fuck would have cared about getting Deris and - say - Grapow/Gerstner back, honestly.

Thankfully this song elevates the album a ton. It's my favorite track on the record, which is quite the whiplash after LFTT, which is my least favorite.

It starts out with a slow intro which sets the scene, before the song decides to go into quite a different direction. The verses and chorus are quite rock-y for Maiden standards, something I'm usually not the biggest fan of, especially for mid-tempo rockers, but here it somehow works very well. The lyrics are fantastic (though "why did they make a war" desperately needed a rewrite, what a clunker) with some beautiful and grotesque imagery in the verses.

The intro gets reprised after the chorus, before we go for another round of verse, chorus and intro reprise. And then, curveball time! The song changes gears and gets much more dramatic. Blaze sounds great and the change in tonality is a welcome change. We get a pretty interesting bridge that effectively builds up the energy. The lead guitar foreshadows Blaze's next vocal lines. "I'm just a soldier!" is badass, pure hype and the highlight of the entire album for me. We pick up the speed and Janick gets to release all energy in a frantic flurry of notes, ending with a beautiful lick being repeated a few times.

We return to the post-chorus section again (technically a second chorus?) before finishing up with a reprise of the intro. A fantastic if unfortunately all too overlooked little gem and an unlikely winner as my favorite TXF song, 9.
