It will probably be annoying to hear it again but I also agree this thread is redundant. It makes it more difficult to keep an eye on news.

Another idea I had is to close Perun's pre-release thread and then have 2 new threads like we did with the Maiden England tour.

I see this thread as an optional addition. If someone feels they missed something in the other thread (it's going fast out there), this thread can (at least) give them specific album details, to be found in the opening post. I trust Travis as someone being very active and attentive, when it comes to collecting this specific type of news.

At the moment, there is no other place where such info can be found, so quickly.

I say close this thread and make a new sticky thread at the top of this sub section that is continuously updated with all the links and news etc as they become available. But make it locked and read only so that we are not having parallel discussions.

Easier said then done. Travis is the one with the time and energy, but he can't edit posts in locked threads. Your plan would suggest that a mod would have to do this work. Fine with me, perhaps also fine with Travis, but which mod wants to do this work?

The problem is: what are specific album details. I just read Travis' opening post and these are very broad. If they were stricter: such as

then that's the factual trivia that could be collected and separated.

I don't think it will be that time consuming. You basically just need to copy/paste from the already existent TBOS thread and sources around the internet. I mean many of the mods are here very regularly- they could easily do this. Whether they want to or not is a different thing but it wouldn't be very time consuming IMO...Just bookmark news as it becomes available over time...
