Some years, I had a problem picking anything .. .others, I had 20+ I could name off the top of my head

Still working on my list with the maximum of 1 album per band. Lots of albums are not my favourites, not from the bands, but also not from these years.
I don't think I could do much better (in my view, with my taste, with this combination of albums and years).

It'll turn out as a a nice collection of bands that I happen to like, each represented with an enjoyable album.
For 2009, I finally have something I'm happy with: Ahab's second album.
