SMX presents The Top 100 Classic Rock Songs

A dimension may be "Time" by Pink Floyd.
I'm guessing "Out...in" may refer to "Revolution" by the Beatles.
A song about a girl: I like Wasted's guess, but I'll guess "Roxanne" by the Police.
Purposeful nonsense lyrics: I like Knife Master's guess, but I'll try "D'yer Mak'er" by Zep.
Title not in lyrics: again, I like Wasted's guess, but I'll go back to "Black Dog" again, or..."D'yer Mak'er"!

More specifically, it would refer to "Revolution 1" from the White Album. On the original b'side just titled "Revolution", Lennon only sings "out".

A dimension - Bryan Adams "Heaven".

Song about a girl - Bruce Springsteen "Rosalita".

SMX, is the top 20 you noted in your first post also your top 20?

I think cornfedhick has it with 'Time', but I'm grasping at straws to be different:

Dimension= Eagles, Hotel California  -- its got that 'stepping into another reality' gig going on.  (If it wasn't for the statement that Goldenearing wasn't going to be in it, I'd go with Twilight Zone)

OK, another weird, out on the edge, kinda questionable guess:

Out...in= Bad Company, Feel Like Makin Love

Maggie May is a good guess too.  There are LOTS of songs about girls: American Woman, Gold Dust Woman, Legs, You Shook Me All Night Long, Foxey Lady, and Sweet Child o Mine, to name a few.

Shadow is right about the lyrics to Revolution 1, but I think the electric version would be the song on the list.  Also just had a thought that "Out...in" may refer to The Doors, which would likely mean "Light My Fire".

The words "Bohemian Rhapsody" aren't in that song's lyrics, so I'll throw that out there, though that is likely higher on the list.

Out...in, I'll go with Beatles, Hey Jude.
"Song about a woman" is so wide open... I'll go with Fleetwood Mac, Rhiannon, or Hollies, Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress.
Nonsensical — Do Do Do, Da Da Da, Police
Title — Led Zep was a lot of these. I'll try Over the Hills and Far Away
Dimension — Time is really all I can come up with, and Cornfed is really the god of this game.

<facepalm> Let's try this again...

Radio stations often skip the intro...
#51. The Guess Who, "American Woman"
This video is the original recording with the 1:16 intro you don't hear on radio. This song isn't about American women; it's political. The Guess Who are Canadian, and this was their way of saying "US keep your grubby mitts out of Canada, thanks".

A song about a girl: Sarah - Thin Lizzy. With respect, most guesses have been songs about women. Or am I taking this clue too literally. ;)

A song about a girl... (+5 to cfh)
#45. The Police, "Roxanne"

Out... in. (+5 to cfh)
#44. The Beatles, "Revolution"

The title is not in the lyrics... (+5 to mckindog)
#43. Led Zeppelin, "Over The Hills And Far Away"

Purposefully nonsensical lyrics...
#42. The Beatles, "Come Together"
When Lennon found out how much some fans were analyzing his lyrics, he wrote this song to mess with them. He is reported to have said something like "Let's see what they make of that!"

A dimension... (+5 to cfh)
#41. Pink Floyd, "Time"

"Pour Some Sugar on Me" - Def Leppard. Seems too obvious to be that but I thought I'd put the guess out anyway.
