Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

I think that Sat 15 being just copy paste from H’s demo was a huge mistake. It sounds absolute crap and the timing is off on the programmed drums. The track would’ve benefited from being played by the band instead of using H’s Tascam 8 channel “band in a box” demo.
That being said, I’m 100% certain that the intro being teased from the new album is played by the band and not a demo carried over from H’s hard drive.
And please, can we have a chance to listen to the actual album instead of having preconceived ideas of what is and what is not.
I think we're all full of preconceived ideas at the moment. Hard not to.

It was. Adrian programmed the drums in a way he knew Nicko could play and Steve went “naw mate, this is good shit right ‘ere, les just go wit it!”
History proves that it's quite dangerous to bring any pre-recorded, half-baked demos or mixes to Steve as they can easily end up as the final product and everybody can then scratch their heads LOL

So it is. I have imagined what the songs will be like, but I don’t dismiss the album as crap just because of three reviews and one single that by the band’s own account doesn’t represent the general sound and direction of the album. I just urge people to relax a bit and take the reviews with a pinch of salt and not as an absolute and universal truth :)

I'm pretty open to whatever the band do. They are a living breathing band now in their 45th year. Stylistically speaking, im not looking for any particular style or approach. Just quality. If the album can match up to BNW and AMOLAD but still be its own thing, ill be a very happy man. Whatever happens...its new Maiden people....so it shall be written...and so it shall be done

I am quite certain Adrian said they tried to play Satelite 15 but it didn’t work, or it didn't sound right so they went with the demo.

Maiden wouldn't have got the spacey vibe if they played it. It would have been better to not have it at all and scrap the whole concept altogether than to have them play it.

Sorry for not liking industrial sounds and country elements.
No problem with that. I'm not really a fan of country myself but I did like TWOTW right away. If I recall the super fan said Senjutsu was heavy "doom and gloom" which might be more to your liking, if I remember correctly.

We only have to wait... But I am afraid that we will be enthusiastic in the first listens but then forget about it and come back occasionally like with all the other post FOTD albums (with the exception of BNW).

I have explained in previous post the reasons I believe Maiden's albums are inferior to those of the golden era (mind you up to FOTD).
That being said, I am still a fan and I will always like many songs from the reunion era, despite these "unfortunate" things.

Instead of moving in circles, can we just all agree that the albums they produce are just for their loyal followers? Then maybe we can just try and put our heads around how we could get an album leak.
