I had some sticker shock when I saw the prices, but there was another subconscious reason why I didn't grab a couple even though I could afford it.
Despite being my lifelong favorite band, I've come to realize a couple of things that made me opt out of going to Madison Square Garden for this tour:
1: Power Windows in 1985 was the last Rush album that I really genuinely enjoyed. Presto was terrible, and the albums after Roll the Bones just sucked. For the most part I liked 1-2 songs (at best) per album, but I must acknowledge the reality: I've been grading on a curve for decades. If it were any other band, I wouldn't give it a second listen. By contrast, Maiden's post-reunion albums are among my favorites in their discography.
2: Related to the item above, what is the set list going to look like? It's quite possible that they would be playing a ton of songs I just don't care for.
3: I did have the pleasure of going to see Rush live about a dozen times between the Hold Your Fire and Test For Echo tours. It's not a case where I never got the opportunity to see my favorite band.
4: I'm older now. I just don't care the way I used to. If anything, it might tarnish my lasting memory of the band as a disappointment.

It pains me to say this because for so many years of my life being a Rush fan was a part of my identity. I just read My Effin' Life last year.
So I didn't get tickets for Rush. Even though once the tour starts I'll see the concert videos on youtube and they will probably be awesome and I'll probably regret my decision and scramble to go see a show.
On the other hand, this Friday Oct. 31 Maiden tickets for the North American shows go on sale, and I love the set list. So there's that.
 
Wasn't easy!
Every pair I chose was already taken quickly.
Thought I had a pair, got to payment screen and clicked the confirmation button and then said tickets were no longer available!
Had to start over but luckily didn't have to wait in line again.
Just kept trying quickly and got lucky

I missed Rush when they played last time in LA (ironically enough I was on a fishing trip in Canada then). After Neil Peart died I thought I blew it and they were gone forever. My girlfriend and I aren't gonna make that mistake again now that we've been given another chance (neither of us have seen them live before) and we're seeing them at The Forum next year which does feel somewhat karmic since this was where they had their last show until now. It's a good thing Rush added a couple more dates otherwise we would have missed it as tickets were selling out super quick and the queues were enormously long, we barely got them for the last of the four dates offered. SUPER expensive but one of the only bands I'd justify paying prices like that for and the decade-long hiatus can't have helped (tickets for Maiden next year at the BMO Stadium were MUCH cheaper and easier for us to get by comparison even with both Megadeth and Anthrax joining in).

In regards to my favorite Rush albums, it's pretty obviously the five album run from 1976 to 1981 as it is for most people I'd imagine. I'd rank those like this:

5. A Farewell To Kings
4. 2112
3. Moving Pictures
2. Permanent Waves
1. Hemispheres

Listened to the “Distant Early Warning” Terry Brown remix (stereo, as I don’t have equipment that would support Atmos), and it sounds really good to my ears. More prominent bass, and just a fundamentally better balance between the instruments.

Now I’m more curious about the full album remix, as well as the other remixed albums.

I gave this one listen on my EarPods this morning and did not get on with the mix at all. I’ll stick to the original.

They are playing at the O2 in London on a Tuesday and on a Thursday. Even without knowing the prices, I'm out.

I saw the band on the Time Machine tour in 2011 playing Moving Pictures (one of my favourite albums of all time) in its entirety. There is no need to tarnish those memories.
 
Milano looks like 200 euros for the normal floor. 230 for the golden circle.

So, going by Maiden prices, other dates will be 150ish. 180 for the Golden Circle. Basically the 2024 AC/DC range.

Wow, I was thinking of getting tickets for my dad and I as a present given that neither of us ever had the chance to see Rush before. I was expecting a hefty price but this is a step too far!

The view from those £78.10 seats should be good (e.g., sections 415 and 416) in case you are prepared to fork out that amount of money. I have a pre-sale code in case you need one.
