Generally, the situation of the live event market in 2026 is very uncomfortable. We can see the Blue Dot Fever phenomenon not only in North America, but also in many countries. Only a few of the most popular artists in the world could avoid this crisis: Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Metallica or some of the biggest names that aren't playing live too often (AC/DC). Mostly due to the economic situation, people just don't wanna invest a lot of money into extremely expensive tickets. I think this tendency affected IM sales in 2026, too.

If they're not going to do multiple years anymore, that might be good for new music - they could play some new material with the same stage with option to continue the dates (/theme) or not.

Hmm, personally, I really doubt that Maiden could pull off multiple concerts in one city the way Metallica does. Metallica has a much broader appeal to the general masses.
In most cases, it would probably be more like two shows with 7000 - 10,000 attendees each - or am I wrong about that?

Outside of South America there are very few places they could sell out 2 stadium shows in the same city back to back. So yeah, it would have to be arenas with that format.

I still remember a spoken words tour thing he did before The Future Past tour. People could submit questions for him to answer on stage. Someone asked "Will Alexander the Great be played on the next tour?" and hie reply was basically "Yes. Yes no no no I meant no! Eddie and the Boys have definitely started that final lap, nothings certain imho how long the lap will be; but its bittersweet. Happy to see the band in more limelight as it reaches the end years; but sad that there will be a time when it all comes to a close.
Personally, I think they'll be geared towards much smaller tours/overall spread after 2027 until retirement. Maybe with a focus on more special events pending how Knebworth goes.

Steve said in documentary that they'll tour tour tour and tour until they can't. I don't think they'll end it for a few more years, but tours would be at smaller scale and more focused on Europe - it's easier for them and they're more popular here.
Edit: idk what happened to 1 year tours. If I was Rod, I would do more 1 year tours, just to play more different sets until they can.

I feel like from Legacy to RFYL they've been trying to sweep up as many shows in as many places as possible with big productions/sets. I would like to see the band return to something more akin to TBOS tour; even if its not a new album tour, a healthy mix of reunion & classic era songs. Would make for a good small spread 1 year tour setup imho. A man can dream
They should do the Metallica 2-night per city thing, with different setlists of course. It's a win win situation. They cut the expenses of the touring, they travel less and the fans see more songs being played live. Now, with the screens it's even easier to play more songs live and change things up.

Many people would be forced to buy tickets for both nights just to listen to the whole programm. Same as Metallica fans did on M72 tour. The wallets would be completely drained, but Maiden could announce a very special shows in selected cities around the continent. That would be OK.
