News Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

If they play Alexander properly in Athens I fully expect the axis of the earth to shift a couple of deegrees.
Joking aside if they play Infinite Dreams, I'll be mad, since I decided to skip this leg mostly because I was not impressed by the show to justify the cost of traveling to see them.

so... Infinite Dreams over Clairvoyant, Alexander over Seventh Son / Aces High?
Maybe they will do major changes... Murders is not a strong opener, bring back Be Quick. And Bring -also- Your Daughter... Let's hope. If there will be additions, I'll add at least one more gig.

Let`s not get too excited here, so far Bruce dropped a big hint about a setlist change and the smart money is on ID given he mentioned it separately and the book title.
There is no evidence to suggest multiple song changes ,the whole Alexander thing is currently a figment of this forums imagination albeit one i would like to see depending what it replaces.

Alexander is a bit more than pure speculation this time due to the fact that Bruce specifically mentioned Athens in his comment regarding the setlist. Plus they've already played it live before now so it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility to bring it back.

Tbh I wouldn't pay too much attention to the fact that Bruce mentioned Athens. The journalist asked him about the setlist for Knebworth. Bruce's response was basically "Well, we start the tour earlier, in a different city - look at the setlist from the first gig and you'll have your answer".

There's definitely gonna be a change, but I'm keeping my expectations low. The Evil That Men Do will probably replace The Clairvoyant or 2 Minutes to Midnight, that's all.

Adding Alexander could make sense in the context of filming the French concert, especially since - depite what certainly did look like a hint - we didn't get any live release from 2023/24, but I doubt they'll want to revisit the song.

My bet
Aces high for evil that men do. If we get infinite dreams or alexander the great or both that would be an great change but i preffer not to change the epics.

And i think that alexander the great couldnt be performed 100% good. Nicko was ill. Maybe they want to play it

They never changed only 1 song for new leg, so there must be at least 2. I also don't see that they'll play ATG again, but it's very popular song that was received very well. Crowd would go nuts. Why not do it again?

Oh, there'd be nothing wrong with playing Alexander again. But I just think it'd be too soon. I don't recall any situation like that. When they dust off a rarity, it has to wait a few years for another chance to be performed live. Althought I might be wrong, perhaps there's been a case that proves the opposite.

I wouldn't call AtG a "very" popular song. For many of us (including me) it's the Holy Grail of their work, but it's not really a hit.

I have a feeling that they finally played Alexander the Great because they "had to" do that. There were many occasions when they could have played it. Over the years, we heard lots of excuses and explanations. "Adrian doesn't remember the solo", "Bruce doesn't like the lyrics", stuff like that. It was the dream of the fans, but was it really their own wish? We got to hear it live and it was amazing. Somewhere in Time was my 1st Maiden album, Alexander was one of the very first songs that made me love the band. But despite the euphoria that we all witnessed back in 2023, it seems to me that Maiden weren't even focusing on the song in the interviews from that period. To me it was like "Yup, we finally did it, enjoy". Of course, I could be wrong, but that's the way I see it.

You're right about the fact that if they change songs for another leg it's always more than 1 rotation. I've never thought about that, but yeah, it makes sense.

I wish they swapped 2 Minutes to Midnight and Aces High for something else. The Evil That Men Do (the song which Steve would like to play, according to an interview from a few months ago) could easily replace any of them.
