Every? Why are you so blatantly lying? That's literally the opposite of what happened. The consensus from digital artists and animators has been that certain songs like Rime 100% used AI to some degree. It's not "users in this thread" knowing better. It's you making an objectively wrong claim and the doubling down instead of simply saying "my bad, I was wrong".

Those who have an eye for recognizing AI art have called it out. Actual artists and animators have called it out. Yet we're supposed to take your word on it? Nah, I don't think so.
 
I hate to be the negative one but I've been listening to and watching some bootlegs from last year and Simon is just way out of his depth. He's a pub drummer at best. I know there's a lot of you who just won't have a bad word to say about Maiden and think im being negative but its just what my ears hear and a lot of my Maiden friends agree with me. He's not terrible but he ain't great. This is Iron Maiden and they should have the best. It's nothing to do with 'he's not Nicko' he's just a very average drummer

He's been a high level professional drummer for decades. That being said, Nicko is impossible to replace.

I mean, Steve disagrees clearly. And the rest of the band at least is okay with that, but have given him praise when asked.

He does a great job of holding down the rhythm section. After all those years of Nicko, that's what I want - Nicko is irreplaceable and I'm glad they didn't try to bring in some big superstar with a massive personality, and instead got someone who just does the job well and without making it about them.

I truly can't believe we're still calling him a pub drummer when he's done a perfectly good job of headlining the London Stadium.

I've been quite critical of Maiden on a number of aspects, but I severely disagree with your assessment of Simon. Style is obviously a matter of preference; I can't (and won't) change your mind if you simply prefer a different style of drumming. But as far as skill goes he's perfectly capable of playing for Maiden.

There were quite a few videos shared last year that had the band almost fall apart. They were usually posted as evidence that Simon isn't good enough. But often, at least in most videos that I ended up watching with my own eyes, the reality was quite different. Steve would fuck up his bass riff, Adrian would go out of sync, but Simon was always the one who got the back into the groove. He had his steady beat, but also tried to catch the others when things got all over the place. So those videos not only didn't show him fucking up, they proved to me that he managed to save some performances from failing horribly.

We have Bruce having huge timing issues for multiple years in a row. I don't think Simon is the one to blame for current troubles. IMO he's doing a perfectly fine job.

Pub drummer, LMAO, this place is priceless.

I guess the best way to decide if a musician isn`t up to the job is to deffo watch bootlegs on your phone.
 
Guys, I love Nicko and I do think that his drumming uniquely contributed to Maiden's sonic approach and songwriting. I don't think anyone other than Nicko could have been as good of a drummer for the band for the way that Steve wrote those songs.

But let's not pretend that the drumming on Maiden songs is some insanely technical, virtuoso-level playing. Simon's doing a fine job. He's not Nicko, but Iron Maiden doesn't need Marco Minnemann behind the kit.

Nicko has a big personality and it shines through in his playing. He oozes style and is instantly recognizable in or out of Maiden.

I listen to it and ive seen him live. Btw there's plenty of people i know who think the same, they just aren't backing me up on here atm

I wouldn’t call Simon a pub drummer even if he plays in a pub band with Steve, but there were certain moments at the London Stadium gig when it was pretty clear that he is not at the same level as Nicko was (this was quite evident on the proggier parts of the set).

That being said, it is not the first time the band have replaced a band member by someone who is not as good as their predecessor.
