News Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

All of it is open to interpretation so you do you but these are the examples I can think of....

Steve sayin he's not sure about a new album. Not often we've heard that, I don't think. Might mean they won't do another one.

Taking 2027 off. A rare statement from them. A year off for people at their age could easily lead to one or 2 deciding they have had enough. Or could make them realise that they wanna go again.

The use of "no UK gig til at least 2028." Could easily mean that they will definitely play the UK again but not til 2028 or after. Or maybe no decision has been made and that leaves the door open to retirement after this tour, depending on how people feel.

Although as Shadow says, if they have plans for 2028 then they are already in motion. Or maybe there will be no plans made until after this tour when people have made a decision about what happens next.

Anyway, that was boring to write and no doubt boring to read, point is that I see enough slightly unusual things lately to make me think that something slightly unusual might happen. Which could be retirement. Maybe.

Anyway. The break in 2027 has its positive aspects since we all know the Maiden company won't rest. I am a 100% sure they will use the break from band activities itself for the one or other nice surprise to be released. Don't forget this autumn will mark the release of SIT & tour 40 years ago. Who knows what they knock out last. Also a live release from TFP might be possible. And if the break is just for the sake of writing new songs and working out ideas each for themselves, I'm fine with that.

I can't wait to get another beer!

A year or 2 ago I got 2 guestlist tickets to see KK through a friend who knows Tony. I'll not hear a bad word said about him:innocent:
Oh, I'm not saying bad things about him. I'm saying bad things about his ears, his work and how that snare sound in particular works in the mix. Like, can Andy Sneap please lend that man some of his snare samples and show him where the volume faders for the guitars are? :D

Apparently KK agrees with me, since he booted Tony from mixing duties and called the guy who does Primal Fear for the sophomore album.

And the third brazil show
"2nd show in Auckland seems likely"

Who knows, but one thing 2026's learned me - being careful with estimating ticket sales results. Everything seemed to be as good as in 2025, but not this time. I hope the 7 shows in Oceania and Japan will sell 70k at least. It'd would be just good but not impressive. We should remember Iron Maiden just played their own arena tour in 2024. Megadeth is a nice addition in Oceania, but the tickets will be expensive for the customers. Contemplating the situation with the third show in SP. The source is a scan from the Iron Maiden Brasil site: LINK

It could be a fake (today that's easy). But we will see the result in two forthcoming weeks, I reckon. All 56 shows booked for 2026 can hold some 2 million fans. If even 1,4 mln will buy the tickets, the final result will be good, but it's only 70% of total sales. I hope the documentary screening and hype around this event could increase the sales. They should have released it last year before the 2026 tour was announced.

It wouldn't be on the 24th, Maiden always have at least two days off after back to back gigs. If there is an additional show in Brazil it will be on the 28th. 29th isn't possible either.

The timing actually seems pretty good to me since they really need to sell tickets to resident fans, not travelling fans. The kinds of rock fans and lapsed Maiden fans, or Maiden fans who haven't bought tickets yet, who just need a kick up the arse to go ahead and get a ticket to shows in or near to where they live.

I haven't really followed the discussion, so could someone give me a short update? What exactly is supposed to be differently to 2025? Thank you
2025 sold out pretty fast almost everywhere. 2026 hasn't.

This has caused a near breakdown for Nomadd and has resulted in a very broken record kind of doomsday chat. Maiden are fucked, Rod should be hung for negligence, the documentary should have been released yesterday.

Enter Shadow with a mix of numbers, and scorn for Nomadd's naysaying.

Some people believe that Shadow makes up his numbers.

Some people believe that Nomadd is actually the legendary RLonger.

Sometimes it's funny. Sometimes one might need a mental health break from the thread. Depends on your disposition, I suppose.

Not a single soul on this earth thought 2026 would've been on the same level as 2025.
Apart from the management, which booked 56 shows mostly at stadiums and big festivals around the world with a combined capacity of circa 2 million. Writing about things haven't gone "as good as in 2025," I thought about fast sales and increased fans' activity, something we can't experience if we talk about 2026 dates. Maybe the documentary will change something.

Got to think Adelaide and Brisbane will sell out immediately. AAMI capacity of 30000ish should sell 25k sharpish, would hope that sells out. Sydney 40k capacity sell out? Yokohama 40k tickets on sale, close to Tokyo, would love to go.

I hope to buy Maiden Melbourne tickets, Foo Fighters play the Saturday night, make my trip from Bangkok a real treat. Here's hoping Melbourne doesn't sell out in presale!

Overall, 2026 not likely to be as strong as 2025, but likely to do 1.5 million + in sales. Widespread release of the documentary will hopefully push sales along nicely as hopefully gets some traction in the wider media.

Adelaide should sell out pretty fast, it's not even 10k cap.
Brisbane sold out pretty fast last time, so we'll see. I think there is a room for a 2nd show, in case.
Melbourne has a 40k cap, from what I can see. 30k should be doable, beyond that it would be an amazing result.
Sydney is slightly bigger than Melbourne, but I think it will do worse.

No idea on how Tokyo will do. Last offical numbers from Japan are terrible, but they're wrong for sure in at least one city.
