Ah,ok. So is not a festivalThe Rock in Rio shows were obviously bigger but those were festivals, not Maiden shows.
Knebworth is the largest undertaking they've taken for a single show, if I'm not mistaken.

Why December? Currently it stops at Nov.If he misses his grandchildren so much, why did they decide to tour from May to December instead of 3 months in 2026 and 3 months in 2027.
They could have even sold more tickets in Europe that way.
The rumour makes no sense.
No doubt. Generally the lawn sells heavy during walk-up/day of sales anyway, but it's all that's left right now with seven months until show date. I'd say they might be close to eclipsing those marks right now or might have already done so.In 2017 they sold 14,405 tickets, and in 2019 14,662.
I don’t know how fast sales were from the start, but they ended up with roughly the same both times. They will beat those numbers this year.

And it's always "I heard it from a guy that heard it from another guy that has inside information." And then people repeat like it's a factIt's weird that this old Dave rumor has gone so viral. I've seen it everywhere on social media today.

Iron Maiden Set To Announce Australian Stadium Tour Next Week
Blunt understands Iron Maiden will announce their 2026 Australian stadium tour next week, with Sydney’s Allianz Stadium confirmed.bluntmag.com.au
Wow so its really stadium tour lol.
Source: Blunt Magazine, rather reliable, I'd be surprised if the last dates of Maiden tour look just like Motley Crue/Def Leppard in Japan and Australia. They can use even half capacity mode in case of slower sales. If this is true is a really big tour.
hopefully there will be South east asia dates as well.Source: Blunt Magazine, rather reliable, I'd be surprised if the last dates of Maiden tour look just like Motley Crue/Def Leppard in Japan and Australia. They can use even half capacity mode in case of slower sales.

I think they do some indoors in Brisbane, Perth and two mid-size stadiums in Melbourne and Sydney. Probably they'll visit NZ too (indoors) and two shows in Tokyo, probably Saitama Arena (domed stadium). With Megadeth as the target support the tour with 7 dates should do well in terms of sales. Over 100k summary should be OK.If Maiden play any of those stadiums they won't come close to selling them out, but they likely would think if they can set records for those cities it's still a win.
Like if they pull off 30k in Melbourne, that will be more than 2 arena shows there.
Rumors are coming in there will be 3 Australian shows and no NZ dates, if this ends up being true it shows their commitment to wanting to being a stadium band moving forwardI think they do some indoors in Brisbane, Perth and two mid-size stadiums in Melbourne and Sydney. Kind of dissapointing if they dont do NZ. Looking at the rumored dates, the tour could probably end in AustralliaRumors are coming in there will be 3 Australian shows and no NZ dates, if this ends up being true it shows their commitment to wanting to being a stadium band moving forward
