I always will say it. Maiden has done a very good job since 1999 with the setlist. And because of that now there are only a few surprises to be done if you want to change the setlist because the have revisit all yheir catalogur
None of those bands are available. Literally half of that list are playing other tours or festivals.
Maiden don't book themselves for Download. It's up to Download and they made it clear that they're moving on from "legacy artists".
I wouldn't say no if they launched a 0% Trooper.Btw, nothing wrong with none alcoholic beer...I enjoy Maiden shows so much more since I gave up drinking beer or any other alc half a decade ago. And First To The Barrier makes no sense with beer, because it would turn soon into some First To The Toilet or First To The Pee Tree or whatever you wanna call that project.

If you mean tour together you havent seen blaze shows nowadays. I love the guy but he is in another division at the moment. He likes maybe be like this. Its not for an opening act its for have fun and remember one show
I think this is great, they are people with a genuine connection to the band goin back 50yrs in some cases and it's bound to be a wonderful jolly for those guys to be part of something this big and great for Maiden and associated folk to have so many of them all hangin round at a (kind of) festival again, a perfect bit of craic for all the lads in their 50th year. Plus a lot of the mega fans who go to looooads of gigs will have some kinda relationship with the guys from Stray and Tony Moore etc.So basically, Steve has a set of British Lion support bands playing there on the Friday!
(For what is worth, I quite like Stray and have seen them live twice: once supporting Maiden back in 2003 and then at a festival in 2021).
There's the Nils Oscar Running Free non-alcohol beer, but it's only regionally available as far as I know to the Nordic countries. I haven't tried it yet, but will at some point.

Maiden have had a few nicely received support bands in Sweden over the years. Sabaton and Opeth, for instance.
Helloween better than maiden in 1996 and 1998 ok they haf better albums. But megadeth in 1999 they were touring with risk a really bad album. And gamma ray i remember they had a bad setlist while touring with maiden. Could have been epic but was not that great

That's a terrific opening act setlist. Support bands aren't supposed to play any deep cuts. They are supposed to play hits and a new song or two.
So your critique is "man, they didn't play the exact song I wanted". Come on. This is a hit-ridden setlist. They were the support band. Saying it's a bad setlist is just ridiculous.
