I think it basically go back to something simple as economy and logistics. Travel costs are way higher now than two-three years ago, but at least they are playing shows at bigger arenas and stadiums this time in North America.

And if they get out the documentary before the tour dates, and it is actually a good one as well, the band can pull some more casuals at the show. I’m pretty sure it worked well in the short run for Mötley Crüe, Queen and Elton John to release a movie to boost streams and ticket sales

Exactly, just adventure movies based on sensational aspects, with actors and bombastic effects, where the music itself is behind the back door. The mainstream products are for commercially oriented casual listeners. I can't see Maiden in this company. And the trailers or release date they might announce any time now.

Yep, no official number but you don't normally see the band's socials push one single show after an announcement, and now the ability to pay tickets off in installments suggest it's selling well under expectations, soon it will be heavily discounted or buy one get one free offers lol.

...or they will change the venue to a smaller stadium. And we must say something more. Knebworth Park is so huge that even 40k people look there as a small crowd. Official full capacity is 125k, but in fact the venue can hold some 150k (Queen 1986).

They won’t change the venue. Being at Knebworth is the USP of the event, and with the Eddies Dive Bar and the addition of camping, it’d be impractical to move somewhere else.

All they needed was a better line up, like the Slayer outdoor shows in Cardiff and London this year. Slap bands like Amon Amarth, Anthrax, or Mastodon instead and they’d see a bigger demand. Build it and they shall come.

They've told their propositions are "just the beginning". They might add some bands, even the big ones. It definitely would be a good decision. Adding some acts like Gojira, Anthrax, and maybe Mastodon would affect the sales a bit.

They have a mainstream rock bill, but I agree, they needed one actual metal band there to round it off.

Regarding the documentary, there's more than just Netflix out there (though there is Depeche Mode doc on Netflix, an act that is about Maiden levels of popularity in some markets).

Having said that, this year's Metallica Saved My Life doc doesn't seem to be streaming yet, so let's see what Rod manages for Maiden's doc.

The Maiden documentary seems to be a significant part of the promotion, on par with the tour and the visual book, which served as a souvenir for most fans. I hope they'll announce the movie soon.

Just under half sold, but more than the last time they were there. (according to the FC thread)
