Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

I'm a little surprised that Bruce, who seems to enjoy taking photos with fans at other events, has never offered a limited number of slots fans can purchase at an Iron Maiden show.

I've wondered about that myself. It would be an easy way to make additional money.
I think the fans would be fine with just Bruce, not the whole band. At first I thought that was the reason, but it's not really a very convincing explanation.

I'd be amazed if a band the size of Maiden only managed 30k for a huge outdoor summer show. Even at worst case scenario they'll likely do double that.
To be fair, they never did these kinds of numbers in the past, so it wouldn't be too weird to see a 30k result. But yeah, if it's selling poorly for real then they would sell at least 35/40k.

I doubt they would sell out two nights. Even when they sell out an arena tour in the UK, that includes people who buy tickets for multiple nights and causal fans who come because the show is on their doorstep.

Two different shows might help. They have a greater capability to do that now with the screens.
People who go to multiple nights, especially on a whole UK leg, are a small percentage. This year they could've easily sell out 2 London Stadium.

There are some rumors the rest of the dates could be announced next year, but nothing credible.

If that is true, then something must not be completely finalised yet. Otherwise, this would only have disadvantages.
The ticket sale would also have a (then second) boost from the documentary coming out next year, if it had been started now and Christmas presents and travel planning for next year could take place considering the shows.

They’re probably going to announce the rest of the dates in December, all the other dates were announced 11 months in advance and Brucd will be in Pittsburgh on Dec 5, but we will see

I keep saying that they need money. Everything fits, doesn't it? :D
He does these photo shoots after a long tour instead of going on holiday or relaxing at home.

I’m too old to be star struck enough to pay for a photo with a famous person. It would just feel awkward.

Although back in 2000 I bought a copy of Geddy Lee’s solo album My Favorite Headache for a signing/ photo event.

Yup that is why they should release it around this month or next maximum. The previous tour dates were announced in October and no news since then. Probably this is the worst planned tour.

Maiden did 115k in UK this year, almost 70k London. Would be surprised if Knebworth does less than 60k.

Rest of world dates not to November 2026, I would rather they announce now but not sure announcing in February makes a big difference to sales if someone lives in Melbourne.

As far as I know Maiden actually pay their support bands. But someone like The Hu will be much cheaper to book than a bigger band that would actually make the lineup stronger and help to shift tickets.

I don't think it's anything to do with cheapness. They're looking after bands that have toured with them before, and I view booking The Darkness is Steve showing there's no hard feelings over the British Lion covid fiasco.

The one thing about all this, and it's especially pronounced on the Maiden forum, I always thought the old Henry Rollins routine about Maiden fans being a bunch of cunts was a bit ott, but not anymore. People literally posting umpteen posts frothing at the mouth because one band they don't like is on the bill.

Which band is the one they hate the most? The Darkness?

I do think the line-up is weak for the type of event Maiden are trying to create (and to attract a massive audience when playing the same show they have already toured in 2025), but I would gladly go and see all bands on the bill if they played locally (I have seen The Darkness live three times).

I have always been disappointed with the rude/disrespectful attitude some Maiden fans have with support bands. If you do not like them, you can always stay at the bar a bit longer (that is what I have done in the past when I was doing multiple gigs per tour and did not feel the need to see the same support band more than once) and if you go and see them, at least be polite. Who knows? You might even enjoy them!
