It's always very exciting when a new Maiden tour starts. Classics, surprises, I'm looking forward to the design, setlist and Simon's drive (let's go) more than yesterday or when it was announced, I admit, the energy. I'll always miss Nicko, but seeing the band live, even the same songs - the feeling is like new every time, and because of the stage set. Adrian will bring some different guitars, but why not Dave and Steve. Will Simon wear a Maiden shirt...

Bruce's stage costume and theatrics are curious, as always.

I wonder if we'll get more props (and pyro) than usual. Bring it on! It's curious how they will fit with screens.

Insane to think that for the first time since July 20 1999 Maiden is performing without one of the members from the classic Smith/Murray/Dickinson/Harris/McBrain lineup... Can't believe we got 25 years with the reunion lineup.
And every single year they were active, with a tour and/or album release, barring force majeure years (Bruce's illness, Covid lockdowns). The reunion era line-up was the ultimate Maiden line-up, a perfect blend of 80s, 90s, and new millenium Maiden. Best metal band ever.

HUGE screen! Let's hope it will have both sides screens too, it will look amazing. And the main stage decor should help the huge LED wall. Let's hope so.

Backdrops are classics - but the potential is massive. I always wanted to see something with screens and Eddies/landscapes. Different, interesting/effects and diversity. It was time.

It's a surprising move by Maiden, they said before they don't like the big screen do distract the fans with moving stuff. Let's hope they will use it right, and better than Bruce.

Few lineups can compete with what McBrain/Murray/Smith/Harris/Dickinson did on Piece of Mind, Powerslave, Somewhere in Time and Seventh Son. The reunion lineup has done great, but its not Maidens classic lineup.
If we're going by albums released it's fair to say that, however in terms of touring, impact and legacy the reunion lineup is miles ahead. 25 years instead of 5, six live albums, lots of world tours, new versions of old historical tours and the list goes on and on.

Well, that's one thing they've never done before, so...

I'll be honest, seeing songs like Powerslave, Rime and other classics live with a big LED screen instead of the classic curtains will be weird. Maiden's curtains always had that classic feel to it. When I think of Rime, I imagine the Powerslave backdrop from the Flight 666 DVD.

However, the big screens add a LOT of diversity. Perhaps even showing pieces of lyrics. I can only imagine the quiet part in Rime and the effects/ images on screen :O

Honestly, I can do without the constant costume changes and props that Bruce was sporting on the LOTB tour. He became too busy and lost contact with the audience, in my opinion. I know people think highly of that tour, so this is certainly an unpopular opinion.
