Guy had some business next to it.
Apparently all the realistic guesses are true, killers, phantom, wrathchild, powerslave, running free, even boots, but I didn't expect 7th son and clairvoyant. Throw in the bag hills and also biggest hits, one more songs from killers and that's about it, maybe there will be one slot for some deep cut which he didn't hear.
Also a real lack of deep cuts - if true.

Thanks for the information!

It's a bit funny to read these reactions, since I know I've said it before and many others have tried to underline it too: this is meant to be the greatest hits setlist aimed specifically at the casual stadium crowd. The wild deep cut speculation never really made much sense on that background, especially since the band have focused more on the stage show in their own hyping rather than the setlist.

Yeah, the last tour was for the hardcores. This one will be a greatest hits tour like no other, like Dickinson himself said.

I'm ok with this, if this is the setlist.
I mean, I always preferred Powerslave to Rime. Of course, I want both, but still I get to see one of fav tracks live, because I skipped BOS.
Wrathchild was always a given imo. The only negative imo is Boots instead of Still Life/Tame/ Revelations/anything else off POM.
Seventh Son probably was picked because they can make it look so good.
No songs off No Prayer is a positive imo. I'd like one SIT song, even if it's Wasted Years and Prowler because it's their first album opener.
With this info, I think they'll open with Number or just Wrathchild.

I get that and I'd understand that angle, but it's not like the casuals that filled the stadiums across Europe in 2005 knew the deep cuts from the first four albums. For a tour that was hyped as featuring a mind-blowing opening half-hour, I don't see a combo of these listed songs that'd really do that.

Yes, but I’m also not seeing any obvious openers leaping off this list at me. Unless it’s one of the songs not yet accounted for, I’m calling Ides/Wrathchild as the opening tracks.
Opener from this list of songs? Wrathchild, Number or Trooper. Phantom, idk.

I really hope it's not Murders, although it's possible. Anything but it.

I think a lot of people were expecting more because Bruce keeps saying it will be "a set for the ages" which goes well beyond the hits or predictable songs, so if this does end up being the set, while a solid one, Bruce 100% overhyped it aha

Sure, but couldn't the relentless stream of the band's most known songs be considered a "set for the ages" for mostly casual audiences?

Bruce did joke that most of the shows are completely sold out which gives them more freedom for the set lol. hinting it will go beyond the safe hits, but as I've always said what Bruce says should be taken with a grain of salt, adding a stack of songs for the casuals + SSOASS, Killers etc would be seen as "deeper" songs to them for the less casual I guess.

Tho wasnt there a mention of a never played song tho?

I'm guess with all the spoiler tags now a setlist has been leaked? If so, how reliable is this "source"? Only curious as I'm trying to avoid spoilers until tomorrow.

Who’d he promise that to, though? We diehards, or the casuals who will fill more of the seats?

I remember being at Future Past in Perth and wading through everyone bitching about the lack of Beast, Hallowed, Aces, etc. I also remember one crying they didn’t hear The Trooper though, so I don’t think they know what songs are which, lol.

After that, RFYL will be serving the songs that the people behind me were asking for. Not the ones that my dad and I cried over.

Yep - he said so in the interview he did that the first 30 mins will blow people away. Nothing in this set list suggests unless they go with big hits early RTTH TNOTB etc
