RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

I find it extremely inelegant not spanning the albums' years up 'til Virtual XI as it's the last album of, roughly, the first 25 years of the band.
True but they're never going to put or mention virtual xi on a poster (sadly) even if they play a song from it

1. Phantom of the Opera
2. Wrathchild
3. Run to the Hills
4. Infinite Dreams
5. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
6. The Trooper
7. Sun and Steel
8. Rime of the Ancient Mariner
9. Bring your Daughter…To the Slaughter
10. 2 Minutes to Midnight
11. Alexander the Great
12. Fear of the Dark
13. Iron Maiden
Encore
14. The Number of the Beast
15. The Clairvoyant
16. Running Free

Other possible songs: Murders in the Rue Morgue(as the opener), 22 Acacia Avenue, Only the Good die Young, To Tame a Land, Still Life.

Some more informations about the future show by Kem Lalot, the programmer of Les Eurockéennes de Belfort festival (France). :)

It seems that it's another Greatest Hits tour. So, no rare songs can be expected to be played by the band, unfortunately. We can expect two hits taken from each of the 9 albums. Maybe "Flight Of Icarus" and "The Trooper" for 'Piece Of Mind', for example. Maybe title song and "Hallowed Be Thy Name" for 'The Number Of The Beast', etc.

Is this promoter a reliable source? The tour planning completed in early 2024? That seems implausible to me.

A few points to consider:

1. Based on the wording, it sounds like Budapest will be the first show. There's a fairly long gap between the first and second concerts. I wonder if a second show will be added in between. (Is a 2nd night in Budapest possible, or probably more likely, an additional show in Prague?)

2. I wonder if British Lion will play in some of these cities (as has been the case the past few years).

3. How late will the tour extend? (The last show is scheduled for August 2nd - how late into the summer will it go? Maybe it's wishful thinking, but is there any chance the chance will go to the Americas this year?)

In the press release, Rod said they always want to bring something different and exciting. How this theme is different?
Everything about this tour suggests lack of ideas. From the tour poster, name and theme (which is masked as a 50 years celebration, but only for the first 9 albums!... yet again). It's like ME/RLT tour again?? Or 2005 + 1993. Why not a new album sooner this time. 50 years celebration can't miss the big Reunion era. They just needed to do another History tour - and this one is like for the 90's plus Hits, but without newer songs. The loose ''50 theme'' is a weak excuse, sorry. The tour is rather boring at first because they've been playing these songs thier whole career (I get it's their most popular era) and because they always say they don't want to be a cabaret act. We had LOTB for 3 years for this.
There is disappointment, they can do better, even now after all the tours. We know the stage will be epic and great (with or without new inclusions for the band), the setlist is the only way to make this tour worthwhile. They have desire to play more rare songs, but will they do it again. For this to happen, songs like Run To The Hills, 2 Minutes, Hallowed(!), Alexander (other extra epic in its place), Evil That Men Do, Running Free... should not be in the set. Instead, give us the songs that have been neglected for so long - 3-4 from the 90's, Land/Still Life/Sun And Steel, Only The Good Die Young/Infinite Dreams, Killers... you know to be different from LOTB. Number Of The Beast is expected to return though.

I like to believe it's clear that the eventual next tour will most likely be a new album tour, so they wouldn't do such a tour for the rest of the albums, and that's exactly why this tour is a disappointment, for now. I have faith in the band.

Edit: despite everything I said above, I would never call Maiden a cabaret act. Especially not now. Such tour was expected after the current tour, just why weren't they more creative with the theme or the name.

History was made when Alexander the Great had its live debut for the Future Past tour and I would argue that it's not exactly played to death yet. :D Like, they probably won't play it next year, but I don't think it'd be an absolutely terrible idea nor would I be sad or disappointed if they do.

I get your point and all, but honestly, Alexander the Great probably doesn't belong to same category as the other songs you mentioned. ;)

Anyway, I get why people are disappointed with the given thematic scope. Then again, I don't really blame them for focusing on just touring at this point and for a lot of people this hit feast is exactly what they want from Maiden. Not super ambitious, but it makes sense.

So far this is probably the least amount of hints they've given in a tour announcement. Other than the fact that it will only cover the first 9 albums, we have only gotten a strong hint at Phantom of the Opera. The marketing is very heavy on the first few albums, so I'm guessing the focus will mainly be on those, but even then there's not much to go off of. Right now I'm thinking the setlist will be somewhere between the Early Days tour and SBIT.
True, but I don't think the set will be like the 2005 tour, more or less. I think the debut, TNOTB, POM(?) and SSOASS are the only albums that could have more than 2 songs in it (3 max). The vibe is like early days mixed with early 90's.
Thank you, but no thanks. I don't need to see another cabaret classics tour containing songs from the first 9 albums.
I'd rather get a proper reunion tour containing songs from Brave New World through Senjutsu.
I'm with you, especially now, but it depends on the setlist. Big time.
I dunno why but Promo art gives me very bad No Prayer On the Road tour vibes. What if the biggest surprise will be that they will mostly play the songs from No Prayer and Fear + several 80s hits. So this upcoming tour in reality is 90s tour in disguise.
I really think they're going this way. I may be a little too optmistic after Future Past Tour (or before, since I haven't seen it yet...counting the days to December 7th, when I'm going to see it in São Paulo), but I think this could be a continuation of the history (not greatest hits) tours, giving a special attention to NPFTD and FOTD (something like 1/3 of the setlist beeing from these albuns). The poster artwork, the sequency of the history tours, that have already covered all the albuns from IM to Seventh Son, and the fact that SIT was finally honored in the current tour (with No Prayer remaining as one of the least revisited album) are things that point in this direction, in my opinion. Of course this would be a bit disappointing to the "play the classics" fans, who would be trolled expecting them to play something like Somewhere Back In Time 2.0, but, after The Future Past, I think the band is looking more carefully to us, the diehard fans, trying to play more deep cuts and unexpected ones. Besides that, the announcement of it as an "50th Anniversary Tour", covering the first 9 albuns, is still attractive for the casual fans, what can be enough to quickly sold out all the shows that were announced today.
^ I'm also starting to think that too, even if we talk about NPFTD and FOTD albums.
I mean, it's time for that right. What if they play 4 songs from the 90's. That would be a great (imo) and big surprise. Tailgunner (opener?)/Daughter and No Prayer plus Fear and Be Quick/Afraid/Wasting Love. Add to that Rime, To Tame A Land, Only The Good Die Young/Sun And Steel and we have a winner! I think some fans are neglecting Bruce and Nicko's comments about wanting to play more deep cuts.

I don't disagree with you, but what about that they don't want to be a cabaret act.../ Unless this is a 90's(Real Live Tour) in disguise.

This time I think they could change some songs (2-3) for the 2nd leg in 2026, or it is unlikely because of Nicko? I think they are focusing on touring because of him.

Hopefully, I'm wrong but I think we will get the same old open box type of stage design that they have used over 20 years now or as some have said - Rod's best investment. They change the drapes and backdrops but they always prefer their old ways of doing things so I would be very suprised to see something new in terms of stage structure. Have to keep in mind that they will also play in smaller arenas, so I'm pretty sure they use the same stage set through out the tour in different venues (stadiums and indoor arenas), which sadly means it might be outstanding in indoor arenas and unimpressive in outdoor stadiums in Nordic summertime.
Sadly, I think it will be exactly how you describet it. There's not a chance that they will build different stage sets for arenas and stadiums. And those of us who will atend stadiums will get visually unimpressive show. Partially due to daylight, partially due to the stage set style and size.

They aren't. They have kept a nice balance by continuously releasing albums and related tours. Maybe not as much as we would like, but look around in the industry and it's looking good for Maiden.

That's fair. Then again, this kind of tour rotation isn't anything too new. Future Past can be viewed as a "album tour" for Senjutsu and hence another history/hits tour is business as usual. It is cabaret in a way, but nothing unexpected and well in line with what they've done previously. Again, I'd love a more extensive coverage, like including some more modern stuff etc. but to be fair, they between Maiden England & Future Past tours (a twelve year time period) the only "reunion" material outside the songs from the most recent albums (TBOS & Senjutsu) they played was For the Greater Good of God, The Wicker Man & Blood Brothers, so sad as it is, I don't think that even a seemingly discography-spanning setlist for 2025 would've had that many songs outside the 1980-92 scope anyway. Of course there might have been some and frankly, that would've been amazing, but I think the general consensus was that the next tour will most likely be 80's hits heavy in any case and, as you mentioned, the appeal for us diehard fans will be dictated by the deeper cuts - which we still don't know anything about when it comes to 2025-26.

They are in their late 60s/70s personally i think they are fine to be a cabaret act now.
They are not ready for that. Steve hates tuxedos, Bruce is ranting too much and hates c****, Nicko had stroke, Adrian is to cool for that kind of shit. Dave qualifies only by having such a nice smile. Only Janick suits cabaret show. He is a professional and very experienced stage dancer but I doubt he's going to do it all by himself.

Could this sort of usual talk regarding the upcoming tour or sort of rushed thing (name theme etc) all indicate how their initial plans in 2019 and onwards due to corona and other things, were messed up?
As marketing wise and so, I think LOTB and FPT were different kind of beasts, now it feels that there should be some more harder punchline.
Of course Im digging the stuff and going to see them as usual..but somehow this all got me thinking.
