Wasted Years can't be overplayed :p

But real talk, I hope that they switch it up next tour (if there is one) and bring back SIASL as the SIT track. It worked amazingly well during TFP.

Nah, not really. It's a best of best of tours since the reunion. Maybe Killers, which was wrongfully ommited during Early Days and Maiden England.

I never knew HCW got replaced last minute. I thought at the time that HCW would have been a no-brainer for TBOS being the first tour after Bruce's cancer. I know some don't like HCW but I love it. Can't help that chant always puts a big dumb smile on my face. I agree Wasted Years is a great closer for them at this point.
 
Maybe I'm a bit biased about Wasted Years, but it's my all time favourite Iron Maiden song, so I can't do anything about it. And it has a special place in my heart. I had a relationship for 3 years with a girl, who lived around 3 hours of train ride from where I live. The verses of the song always brings me back to those long rides, looking out of the window of the train, watching the cities go by in the night, thinking of my love, and feeling pain, and sadness, that I will have to wait 1-2 weeks to see her again. Sadly we are not together anymore, but I miss her to this day, even years later, and Wasted Years always brings me back to those long train rides when I traveled to her. I always play it with my band, even if we have little time, and even if I have to sacrifice one of our original songs for it. It's just feels right.

If there's a band to do that, it's Maiden. Just 3-5 classics are like enough, even now and after a year of no touring. Commercial pressure? Spot on about the second statement. Gene from Kiss said they can't play live anymore without their permission because they own the makeup now. Wild.

Not only was it dropped from TBOS, I'm pretty sure it was also dropped from LOTB for The Wicker Man as a more uptempo religion themed song. I think the persistent rumor was that the crew hated bringing fans on stage because it's a massive headache, which is why once it finally came back on TFP they simply had the Eddie firefight instead.

...and we got the Steve-only pirate backing vocals during TFP on the 2nd half of OH-OH-OH part when H starts playing the fills.
 
Wasted Years has been a wonderful closer, a real curve ball first time round and such a euphoric way to end a show but it's time is done, I feel. Time to bring back Running Free, their ultimate set closer. I love it and I think it should absolutely be the last song they ever play, the sentiment, the energy, the early days, the crowd participation.

Maiden have ticked every single box for me over the years in terms of songs I really wanted to hear live. All that's left is to hear Running Free one more time. Well, 3 or 5 more times but you get my meaning.
 
Wait, just realiszed that Iron Maiden and Rush are both playing Montreal. Has that ever happened before?

Rush is playing 2nd and 4th of September, while Maiden is playing the 3rd of September. If that was in Europe, I would've gone to all 3 shows for sure.
 
Al the full shows from this new tour are down. And i think its because were inside pavilions. I was impresed how great the stage looked and the lights. I managed to see half of the toronto showm
