Pick one.The place was absolutely packed, I think the singer of Airbourne said 50k people?
If 50k isn’t as much as previous festivals, remember there was only one stage where bands were playing on the day. People were not spread out over multiple stages. For the size of the arena, it was packed.Pick one.
The area Maiden used has a 85k capacity. If 50k isn’t as much as previous festivals, remember there was only one stage where bands were playing on the day. People were not spread out over multiple stages. For the size of the arena, it was packed.
Well I ended up with a ticket and really enjoyed myself. I also couldn’t believe how busy it was.
Getting there was crazy. We had a Car Parking pass but ended up getting the train due to the traffic around the venue. If we had gone by car, we would’ve probably missed The Darkness and nearly some of Maiden’s set.
I thought the band were on fine form. If anything, it was a better performance than London Stadium in many places. Bruce was clearly struggling from Rime onwards. I didn’t notice it until he actually said it during Run to the Hills. I actually preferred some of his melody lines to suit his lower range. Rime sounded much better in a lower register.
In paris from the videos i saw bruce did the same he didnt go as high as he can and sounded great. In donington 92 he sings like that and for me sounds great on that show. Maybe he should aproach some song like thisThe place was absolutely packed, I think the singer of Airbourne said 50k people?
The band sounded great, the highlights were Infinite Dreams, Rime, 7th Son and Phantom for me.
The sound was a little patchy but that is a big field gig for you
I thought Rime sounded great in the lower register, no vocal straining. Bruce did that in a couple of other songs as well, glad to see he wasn’t being stubborn if he was feeling ill
Trying to get to the venue was a ballache. Lots of traffic and no apparent sign posts for parking. We only found the parking because we were back the way came, the sign post for it was only on one side of the road…
made a super swift exit post wasted years and managed to get back home by the second hydration break
It was probably 50k when Airborne were on but it was rammed when Maiden hit the stage. I'd guess closer to 70-80k.Pick one.
It was exactly halfway through Rime when his voice went. He struggled from then on but fair play to him powering through when clearly sick. The crowd helped him along.Well I ended up with a ticket and really enjoyed myself. I also couldn’t believe how busy it was.

Despite my usual criticisms of Bruce and song selections, I was completely rooting for him. I uttered the phrase ‘Come on, Bruce’ multiple times in my own little way of showing my support. He handled it like a complete pro. It’s tough to see one of your idols struggling with illness and the impact of Father Time.It was exactly halfway through Rime when his voice went. How could the Airbourne singer know how much people were there at the time? He knew the amount of tickets sold in total. It was probably 50k when Airborne were on but it was rammed when Maiden hit the stage. I'd guess closer to 70-80k.
Dude, the guy made a throwaway comment, he didn't craft a PR statement. No need to be so extremely pedantic about something that definitely doesn't warrant it lolHow could the Airbourne singer know how much people were there at the time? He knew the amount of tickets sold in total.
50k sounds right: only 3 delay towers, lot of space in the back and a lot of stands taking space.
How he was on the encore and 2mtm?It was exactly halfway through Rime when his voice went. He struggled from then on but fair play to him powering through when clearly sick. The crowd helped him along.
Aces High was as expected. I was leaving during FOTD but he sounded ok. 2MTM sounded good to my ears. How he was on the encore and 2mtm?
I saw videos and for sure he was sick. Someone of the band said that they have recorded amsterdam too. Maybe they use the audio of that show. This dvd is going to be the frankestein of the live dvds lol.Aces High was as expected. I was leaving during FOTD but he sounded ok. 2MTM sounded good to my ears.
How would the frontman for a support band know what the final tally was?How could the Airbourne singer know how much people were there at the time? He knew the amount of tickets sold in total.
There were 4 delay towers.50k sounds right: only 3 delay towers,
Were you even there? By the time Maiden were on there was no space anywhere in the main arena except perhaps over in Maidenville (which was its own separate area and has no view of the main stage).lot of space in the back and a lot of stands taking space.
