RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Hmm, we all know that back in the '80s, bands weren't exactly shy about using audio overdubs to enhance their live recordings.

Maiden simply needs to take the concept one step further and do a video overdub.

Decorate Steve's barn to resemble the stage at La Défense Arena, wheel in the cameras, and have the band perform the encore. Everyone should act as if they're having the time of their lives. For added authenticity, periodically throw buckets of water over the band to simulate concert sweat.

The crowd can be copy-pasted in later from the vast archive of live footage. Voilà. Problem solved.

As an added bonus, the local English cattle will be gently moved, thoroughly entertained, and highly motivated by repeated performances of Aces High, Fear of the Dark, and Wasted Years echoing across the pleasant pastures surrounding mysterious barn.

Milk production may increase accordingly.

I am listening to the audio recording of the San Siro show and I feel that the tape intro of The Ides of March is pointless. Why not just start with the tape intro of Murders in the Rue Morgue? Is it because of the video intro? What am I missing? It’s too much tape at the beginning imo.
It contributes to the overall build up before the bang, the crowds loves singing along the Ides melodies.

Gaffer tape is often used to cover the most sensitive body parts, you know. Or would you rather see the boys storming the stage completely untaped? Honestly, that would be a horror show.

Haven't seen a Maiden Casket yet. They should put the No Pravyer artwork on the lid...

Brilliant idea. I think there could be three price categories, covering different materials (wood, steel etc.) and other features.

Standard Casket - No Prayer for the Dying
Deluxe Casket - The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg
Premium Casket - Live After Death*

*Comes with a lightning rod attachment, also compatible with most tombstones

The more I think about it, the Paris disaster could be a blessing in disguise. With the right vision, this could be Burning Ambition Part 2. Part 1 had the band talking about the history, ups and downs and fans sitting inside behind a table giving their insights. Now it's time to meet the band and the fans where they belong: Out on the road, 50 years later. Whatever they do, don't try to give the impression it's all one and the same gig. We know it's not and I think it would be met with criticism. Work around it and use it to make a better experience.

Dennis: “‘Arry, Phantom of the Opera sounded much better with those vocal ‘armonies”
Steve: “Nah, we are not bloody Queen and you liked The bloody Eagles”
Dennis: “‘Otel California is a cracking tune, isn’t it?”
Steve: “You’re bloody right, but don’t tell Rod… Wait, some cunt’s recording this!”
Dennis: "So lemme get this straight 'Arry, yeh want me ter sabotage the electrics at La Defensive on 22nd so yeh don' have ter release Cringeys High, and if I do, yeh admit yeh like the Eagles?"

Steve: "Blimey can't believe I'm actually sayin' this but yeah, you see Bruce sounds completely outrageous an' bang out of order on that one, and I'm too old fer his sh*t... wait, some c*nt's recording this!"

*cuts to Mr.Smallwallet on Flight 666 telling Nicko "Oh, you better be able to play tonight!"

Maiden typically use something like 5 or 6 mins of taped intro. Started noticing this on BOS tour.

That’s 5% of a two hour show that Maiden don’t actually have to sweat on stage!!!

You may also include doctor doctor, and I recall when that preceded transilvanya, that was about 10 mins of band-free entertainment for the packed hall!
