RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Davey on TFP was already on fire. He crushed those SIT solos.
True, but to me he stood out even more on RFYL. During TFP Adrian in particular was much more cautious and stressed, trying to communicate with Nicko to deal with the tempos. During RFYL Adrian was beaming and even joking around with the audience.

Bruce actually did a pretty respectable job on Aces in Sweden, I thought. Maybe he’s finally worked out how to get a good enough run up on it.

Newspaper (google translate) review:

"A year ago I last saw Iron Maiden. It was… so-so.
Afterwards I felt something like, "Damn, I love you guys, but isn't it time to go to sleep?"
At Sweden Rock, I was therefore prepared for a nice deathbed farewell."

So this guy was expecting Aces Low but got Aces Passable.

(and eh, he must have gotten a seated ticket last year, far back and forgot his binoculars. I saw both nights in Stockholm last year and I had a great time).

Just watched a few songs from Sweden Rock, all sounds pretty damn good, even Aces High sounds good. Reall am feeling quite tempted to go to Knebworth though, if it was in a stadium i would 100% go as my short ass would be guranteed a good view. £145 and the possibilityh of not seeing anything but screens puts me off.

What a weird review, and really odd rating of each song. Of course, I didn't attend Sweden Rock, but giving Wrathchild, Killers, Phantom and Infinite Dreams 2/5(!!!!) is baffling. The sequence Wrathchild->Phantom has been a highlight for me, the crowd has loved it and the band sounds so good on those songs.

At the end of the day, it is just someone's opinion, which is not more valid than yours or mine. :)

Very true, but I am surprised opinions can differ so much. Aces High better than those songs?

But these swedish reviews are always odd in my opinion. I often get the feeling they didn’t attend the show, but still review it. Stockholm 2018 is another one. The reviewer gave Sign of the Cross 5/5, and that’s the version where Nicko's bass drum pedal fell apart midways.

9. Sign of the cross

Quite sad as a studio version, in my opinion, but a real treat as a live song. One of the highlights of the evening, for sure. Steve Harris and Nicko McBrain's phenomenal rhythm work leaves me almost speechless, which is an achievement in itself.

The start of the show was great for me. Too much energy there. We all complain about wrathchild being on the setlist until they reach the chorus and you scream it like always. Mariner,id and seventh son were great too

I also think the start of the show is great, Wrathchild was great, last time I saw it live before Run For Your Lives was back in 2010, even though I've seen all tours since, they haven't played it on the legs I've gone to.

Didnt they play wrathchild during book of souls? After the cancer bruce used to start thr scream very low and the go to the highest he can like hey i can sing as always.
