“Senjutsu” fucking ruled as a concert opener. I loved the previous leg of LOTB so much that I went into ‘22 with mixed feelings. As soon as Nicko began pounding out that intro, I was fucking hyped again. The first in a series of reasons why LOTB3 was way better than I expected...
It's bizarre to think 15 years ago Maiden actually made the sensible choice of moving The Talisman up the set, because it's a bitch of song to sing and Bruce was struggling with it. They also didn't perform RTTH as the last encore because it was too demanding as the last song of the night. Talisman on those first few dates still sounded miles better than AH did last or evidently this year.
What the fuck happened to that band?
I cant remember hallowed but i do remember him nailing the talisman during asia tour. Trying to reach all the high notes. He impress me with that, you can think that he could go and go trough the song in some places but he did notAnd even with that sensible swap, by the end of the tour his voice was really tired. I went to five shows on the UK leg of the tour in 2011 and he sounded really rough on Hallowed be Thy Name.

I enjoyed it a lot as an opener. The ‘22 Legscy of the beast show is probably my favorite maiden concert I’ve been to, though it might be because I won FTTB and took my father in law with me LOL“Senjutsu” fucking ruled as a concert opener. I can't believe you people want Tailgunner and Bring your Daughter to the Slaughter in the set.
How about the theory that they’re more influenced by Rod’s or management’s opinions these days than they used to be when it comes to what would make for a good live show?
Sure, Bruce could have refused to sing a song, but with Bruce, you could also imagine that he wanted to take it on as a challenge.
Last year he struggled with “Aces High,” so this year he’s showing that he can do it after all - at least that was the plan.
If they saw fit to release Nights of the Dead with the way Bruce sounded throughout, they'll have no issue releasing Paris with a bad rendition of Aces High. This is the worst version of aces high. The only thing is what are they doing in paris because of the dvd. I dont know how are they going to improve this version becuase its obvius that he cant sing the song at the end of the show.
I think im the only one here that im not disappointed with nights of the dead live album lol. I think is better than en vivo! Book of souls live chapter and dance on the road, this one i think ivr have heard it like 10 times. If they saw fit to release Nights of the Dead with the way Bruce sounded throughout, they'll have no issue releasing Paris with a bad rendition of Aces High.
What a beast he was back then! What i was talking about the final frontier tour- the talisman live in seoul and check the comments.
And the setlist is great. I find it very enjoyable. The Mexico live might be their worst live release but it's still not that bad. Bruce is straining but still he it's not that bad, even Aces High is above average (WED is a bit of a disaster, but still)
