I personally find it worrying that Bruce thinks Ghost is so great (regards new songs solo and for Maiden).

Bruce has been a massive fan of Ghost for a while now, this isn't the first time he has been spotted at one of their events, he was at the LA show a few years back and their movie premier etc, it doest seem to influence his musical direction.

James Hetfield has constantly praised them from day one, while you could argue Metallica havn't made a good album in over 20 years I still don't hear Ghost in their music either aha.

The best Maiden albums are closer musically to the Ghost albums than to Senjutsu,BoS, TFF etc, if I'm being honest. Wasted Years (with other lyrics) could be a Ghost song, or the Evil That Men Do, CIPWM etc

Exactly what I thought when I first heard this song. Has a lot of the hallmarks of a post reunion Maiden song. I don't understand the Ghost hate. That guy can really craft a tune.

I think that some people don't like the genre crossovers that Ghost is all about. Ghost is transcending styles within a heavy Rock packaging, and the main critique I've come across is that it's just Pop with a heavy production (which is unfair, as Ghost isn't just a pop/heavy rock fusion, but take stuff from Funk, from Disco, from Heavy Metal, from modern pop, 80s pop and so on).

Sure the discussion of the pros and cons of the stage make a good side quest. I will still say the main issue with the tour is the band performing songs that Bruce can’t do justice anymore. I won’t go into more detail, as I will get a slap on the wrist.
