RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

Some claims on the fanclub that Maiden won't do Download next year either.
I doubt they will return to Donington after playing big stadium show and a few other dates in the UK this year. The tour went very successful and probably Maiden will return to UK with some other open air soloed shows, maybe in Welsh as Slayer did this Summer. And just a little detail: since Netherlands gig Maiden stopped publishing audience pictures from the current shows. I can't imagine why?

I would pay good money to see Maiden perform in Welsh.

Let's not start any conspiracy theories. Nicko was just joking about the size of Simon's kit. He also said he was "doing a splendid job and thank you all for welcoming him into the Maiden family." Stepping down was his decision, he said he went to Steve about it. He also just said he didn't want to tour like Maiden does anymore.
yeah but saying stuff like he’s not me and all, idk why would you say that or even joke about it. Im also not starting any conspiracy theories as it’s just an opinion and I may not be right. It’s just his comments and so called jokes that don’t exactly sit well but let’s see

He also discussed about Bruce’s slip ups. And took a shot at Simon. Beginning to feel that Steve kinda asked him to leave just cause he couldn’t cope with faster songs. Could be wrong here but it’s beginning to feel that way now. Think the whole “retirement due to health” is just a facade. That could also explain him saying that could drum on a “few songs” for a potential new album (again maybe slower songs like Parchment, Celts, etc). Let’s see.
This is definitely not the case, listen to his Trunk interview. The problem is not the speed, but doing the fills to a satisfactory level. He also carefully explains when he for himself decided that he couldn't do it anymore, as his body could not recuperate in between shows due to the constant travel. That was in Sidney, by the time he told the band they were already in the US. One should also not forget we are comparing a bunch one-off shows that are only half the duration of a Maiden show, and don't include rigorous traveling.

That wasn't a smart interview from Nicko! He manages to sound too old-fashioned for Maiden. Who would have guessed that I would ever have that thought about Nicko? That's quite an achievement.
And yes, what could be more hilariously funny than pointing out the mistakes of others in the band?
No more Botox for his forehead!

Then maybe there are feelings somewhere in Nicko that prevented him from coming across as just witty and light-hearted?
I am a bit sceptical to just say there in fact is nothing when so many people perceived it in a certain way.
At least when these people all know and like the person that spoke.

I think you could say that the interview wasn't very smart.
Perhaps surprising for someone who has been a professional musician for a long time.
Because it's perfectly clear that in the situation Maiden and Nicko are in right now, certain comments would be picked up, and that it's better to be a little careful if it is important to you not to come across the wrong way.

But maybe they could still do some European dates or festivals. No Download next year could potentially mean a 3rd leg of the tour, unfortunately.
It’s crazy to think you have to go back to the Early Days tour in 2005 to find the last tour that didn’t extend beyond one calendar year. I know some tours changed set lists and stage designs, but they were still labelled as the same tour. E.g. The Final Frontier tour.

It would be a shame to extend this to 3 years, but I can totally see them doing it. 2027 will probably look like what 2020 was going to be: an tour consisting of Asia, Oceania and European festivals.

Man, I just thought the same. Let's see:
2025: European Leg
2026: North and South Americas (as we saw in 2019)
2027: Asia/Oceania and European Second Tour.
Three years, 5 continents, 102 - 105 dates. ROD mentioned about a big 50 Anniversary Tour around the world.
