Wow, only 3 shows left. They seem to fly by so quickly now.
I don't think they announce stadium route in NA although it would be co-headlining line up. I think they announce traditional arenas/amphitheaters tour similar to 2019's one. I think the band will visit Asia/Oceania, NA and SA. Bruce few times mentioned about returning to EU soon, but I don't think they are about playing here just next year, too early. I can imagine third leg of the tour in 2027.

Maybe there will be some European dates next year too (Balkans?; he promised a big 2026 leg last year) - and maybe there won't be a 3rd leg in 2027. Ofc, it could just be teasing (a new tour, already) and ambiguous, but the next tour will be different. New album tour is my guess.
They could do a Part 2 of the current tour after the new album one, even without the 50 years theme. Or a hybrid again?

It's not too early for the Balkans though, plus some other festivals like Download, you know the big 2026 leg of the tour. If they follow this tour with a new album tour, then I don't think there will be a 3rd leg (and let's not forget Bruce recent hinting), unless they want to play a new single during it, which normally/potentially would extend the new album tour with one year until 2029 (btw, they could combine the new album tour with an era, why not). The thing is, the current tour deserves to have some Reunion era songs, but I don't think they would ''heavily'' change the set. Doing a 3rd leg like ME tour with just a few classics swapped is not necessary at all.

Nicko has said in an interview that he preffers the old backdrop.
Finally they could add some dates including new territories and big festivals too. I don't think they'll book stadiums in the US and Canada, they are too small down there.
That specific line is a joke about how they'll be back for the encore, he does it every night but flubbed the wording a bit this time. "We'll be back, but it won't be 50 years" - because it'll be about five minutes.

He also discussed about Bruce’s slip ups. And took a shot at Simon. Beginning to feel that Steve kinda asked him to leave just cause he couldn’t cope with faster songs. Could be wrong here but it’s beginning to feel that way now. Think the whole “retirement due to health” is just a facade. That could also explain him saying that could drum on a “few songs” for a potential new album (again maybe slower songs like Parchment, Celts, etc). Let’s see.
I wouldn't take what Nicko said as bad grapes. He just talked about what he thought. He's not had a bad word to say other than jokingly making fun of Simon's drum kit and a little teasing at Bruce.

Nicko played Moonchild at 2008 speeds with Titanium Tart this month, and played Mariner almost a minute FASTER than the album version. Meanwhile Maiden's current version of Mariner is a minute SLOWER than the album version.
Nicko can absolutely still play the faster songs. It is clear that Nicko was NOT the reason Maiden has drastically slowed down their tempos in recent years- if he was, why are they still playing so slowly with Simon?

Nick can still play fast. It's the fills and the coordination that cause problems. Like the infamous CSIT speeding up during each fill, which caused Adrian to lose it after his solo (Nicko sped up the song by 15 BPM), That was during his worst 2024 patch of shows, when he was, per Bruce, in a lot of pain.
That said, Simon IMO should be paying more attention to the drumming details, especially Nicko stuff, he seems to me like he is borderline clumsy during some fills. I don't know why.

Maybe because he suffered a stroke? Things like that tend to have consequences and the fact he was at all able to plsy the previous tour at a professional standard is an achievement that should be celebrated.

Let's not start any conspiracy theories. Nicko was just joking about the size of Simon's kit. He also said he was "doing a splendid job and thank you all for welcoming him into the Maiden family." Stepping down was his decision, he said he went to Steve about it. He also just said he didn't want to tour like Maiden does anymore.
