RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

Steve’s bass, the drums and vocals were mixed so loud up until The Number of the Beast that it was tricky to hear what each guitar was playing from where we were seated.
I think I noticed an improvement in the guitar sound from Clairvoyant onwards, but I’m already forgetful of the running order.

He did a killer acoustic version of Prowler last week :

I don't think so because the show was during the day. And I guess they'll wait for the SA shows next year.

I think Bruce is doing fine with Hallowed.
At a time when many singers in his age group, including some of his peers, are either retired or performing while seated and relying on backing tapes, I think he's doing spectacularly.

To each their own but I just don't get the complaints.

If you're forensically examining the vocals it's pretty clear that Bruce's range and stamina have dropped off, it's going to be pretty easy to see the differences compared to previois tours.

But seeing it in that live setting away from YouTube clips, it all felt incredibly powerful and much better than expected.

Especially for casuals and those less likely to obsess over this stuff, and based on the performance at London, Maiden potentially has a good few years in them if they choose to continue touring.

London was an unironic top 3 Maiden gig for me, an incredible experience.

There did seem to be a couple of technical issues, Steve’s bass didn’t appear to be working/on at the start of NOTB

The sound was pretty good where I was for a stadium show

He had switched something off on the stage, he went over and turned it on himself, probably a tuner or something

We can all agree that Bruce sounds spectacular overall, but Aces High and the fast Hallowed and Murders parts are not good enough. That's why songs like Powerslave or Seventh Son are the highlights of the tour.
Bruce is born in (a mining town in) '58. He couldn't sing Aces High in the 80s. It won't change now. I'm sure that Bruce will still sound spectacular on the next tour in 2-3 years time, especially if they don't choose songs that torture him.

For me hallowed is ok

Yeah, Bruce's style as a front man is engaging and making the crowd a part of the concert. Always has been. So singing from a cage for almost the entire performance takes away from that a lot.

I'd prefer it if he was still up front, maybe being taken away to the cell by two hooded stage hands (guard/executioner) after the first main vocal part is finished. Then he's only locked in the cell for a minute of so before the gag and the video chase.

Probably not the right place for a Linkin Park concert review... so i won`t bother! :p

I did however have a great if not slightly odd weekend in London walking around in my Maiden shirt endlessly going in the opposite direction the thousands of Maiden fans as we headed to Wembley to see Linkin Park. It was our first chance to see them since the cancelled Manchester 2017 gig and the tragic passing of Chester.

They were great, screens and all!.From the fans i spoke to on Sunday Maiden were in good form too. It was a great music based trip to the Capital which was a wash with metal band shirts everywhere of all types, great to see. :edmetal:
