Hi, Thanks.
They reviewed the opening night gig in Budapest straight after the show and for the first time ever on their channel gave Maiden live a proper panning, she hates AI it seems. They put out a follow up video last week after their trip seeing i think 5 gigs and discussed it again in more detail and came to the same `it wasn`t for us ` conclusion. Sorry i can`t upload a link but just have a quick search on youtube , it`s worth a watch .
Hey Brutha, how's this for an idea, put you on a screen and drop you in the fucking sea, hoo-raa, whoop whoop!Since everything is on the fucking screen now maybe they should just put the entire band on the screen. Then Bruce can jump on the monitors, Gers and Steve can run around and Nicko can play drums. Simple.
It's one of the most famoust Maiden YT channels nowadays.
Welcome and thank you for sharing your thoughts!Hi all, Great post from Yax, summed up my thoughts and inspired me to finally sign up to the forum and post something after years of reading it only.
Been a fan since buying Piece Of Mind in 1983 and have dropped in and out of love with the band over the years for various reasons. Outside of the mid 80`s peak this last 20 years or so has been an absolute joy to watch especially live, not every reunion album floats my boat fully but the shows and setlists since 2016 have been spot on for me.
We were at the Manchester show and stood for the first time in 8 Maiden gigs , about 20 rows back and it was awesome, way more tiring and physical than we expected, i am 53 though!
The show was great, screens are to me a big positive and a modern addition, rightly or wrongly AI doesn`t bother me at a metal show. I seem to remember many on here moaning about the inflatable Sensutsu stuff in 2022 being amateur?
Everyone has their own setlist thoughts and for me they could have dropped out SSOASS personally for Infinite Dreams and opened with Prowler but the band were on fire, tight, having fun. I genuinely don`t get what people want from a band 50 years in to there career with a lead singer who`s had throat cancer, they are still incredible and i am more than happy to accept a few changes from the original recordings or peak 2000`s live performances to still get to see them perform live at that level.
On a personal note i do think the massively negative review from Capnharris online has really influenced peoples thoughts . They are of course entitled to their opinion but having seen the show first hand and close up most of their criticism is wide of the mark in my opinion and maybe they are too attached to Nicko to move on?
Anyone with tickets to upcoming shows go and enjoy it and soak it up before all we have left on here are threads about our favourite memory of Maiden when they pack it all in, nobody is filling the gap that they will leave for me.
We are off to Spain and are catching the Madrid show and the dive bar and we can`t wait for it!
Capnharris is a Youtube channel
It`s a long one, that`s how much they didn`t like it! It is deffo a skip watch but still interesting..ish. The review from the first show is shorter .Thanks, but 1 hour and 12 minutes??? That's nearly as long as the show!

Yah, I heard it was a popular channel, went to watch a video and found a lot of nonsense, people eating burgers and whatnot. Don't get it.Thanks, but 1 hour and 12 minutes??? That's nearly as long as the show!
I like CapnHarris' channel but there are many things I don't agree on this long review. And there are some wrong info's too. I just wrote it under the video but: She claims that Bruce said sth like "you havent seen yet" at the end of the first gig and that mislead a lot of people. But actually Bruce said that in his first speech, like in the first 30 minutes or sth. At the end of it, he said sth like "if you missed stuff, you can try to catch them tomorrow". So nobody was mislead. We didn't wait for any setlist or show changes in the second gig. It`s a long one, that`s how much they didn`t like it! It is deffo a skip watch but still interesting..ish. They do seem to struggle with losing Nicko without slagging Simon off i might add, they are known to Nicko i think as they live in Florida and attend all his Titanium Tart stuff. I think Simon`s doing well on on this tour personally .He was really well received in Manchester both during the show when Bruce presented him and at the end when he did his Nicko esk throwing the sticks in to the crowd. It's true that some fans just can't handle line-up changes. Even after years, although the new member is objectively an asset, they still complain.
I think it's unfair. I haven't watched this video though and don't know if that's the case here.
They do make it about the city they are in too like a travel vlog as well as concert footage. That last bit is a bit tricky now with the phone ban.I kind of guess if you hadn`t heard of them by now it wouldn`t be your thing.58 minutes. Masters of conciseness they are!
Same here, watched them for a few years now and enjoyed most stuff of theirs, had a quick chat with them in 2023 in Nottingham, nice bunch of people. No issue with not loving everything but this review just seems odd and wide of the mark.I like CapnHarris' channel but there are many things I don't agree on this long review. They must have been kids back then, they don`t look that old now. I should have said watching their channel isn`t your thing.I know them from the official forum (way before they started vlogging).![]()
Thanks MindRuler!Welcome on the forum @Fozzie !
