Seriously, the way he sings the second half of the verses sounds like something he'd do on his solo albums in the 90s. I'd take this version of Aces High over any that I've heard in the last 15 years. Y'all gotta remember: just because it's not identical to the studio version doesn't mean it's bad. Use your ears, this sounds far more musical than Bruce straining to hell and barking to even hope to reach the notes for the second half of the verses (as he normally does when not sick).

The way he sings Aces High LIKE THAT hints a conflict within the band, probably between Bruce and Steve.
It reminds me 1993, when he just didnt put effort anymore in the performance or perverted things, just to piss of Steve.
So my guess is: Bruce singing it that way to force Steve to a decision (to hopefully replace it by some other song).

He alters the melodies to make it to the end of the song. He did the same exact thing a few years ago when he was sick. This is nothing new.

It feels like some of y'all are a bit too invested in the drama and see monsters where only shadows are :P
 
They probably thought that it's the greatest hits tour and we can't retire Aces now. Let's play this one for the last time... But if they play it in the beginning it would be a bigger let down for the fans searching for the surprise factor. And they can't play it in between... So they play it on encore... Steve probably asked Bruce if he can do that or not, and of course he said "no problem". : )

Here in this interview Steve is telling that he goes and asks if Bruce is ok with the key. (in the 1.54 mark)

I was unlucky enough to see 5 shows with Bruce sick on The Final Frontier UK tour back in 2011. :(

Let's hope that, if he is indeed sick, he recovers quickly. They have a day off today and then back-to-back shows in Birmingham and Manchester!

I think if anybody is gonna point this out it'll be Adrian. Remember, it took Nicko losing it for Steve to finally realize that Blaze is done in '98.

He has been struggling with Aces Mid-height from the 1st date onwards. And I feared what would happen if he gets sick or has an off night.

Well, here we have it.
