RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

Thinking about it, if H brought out the Les Paul Goldtop ad the 1986 Jackson Superstrat, he would play almost all of the guitars from the 80's on tour. He could've also gone period correct with the guitars (with the exception of drop D songs)...

1. Murders In A Rue Morgue - Les Paul Goldtop
2. Wrathchild - Les Paul Goldtop
3. Killers - Les Paul Goldtop
4. Phantom Of The Opera - Les Paul Goldtop
5. The Number Of The Beast - Ibanez Destroyer in drop D
6. The Clairvoyant - 8431 Jackson Signature prototype
7. Powerslave - Lado Earth Silverburst
8. 2 Minutes To Midnight - 2MTM Jackson
9. Rime Of The Acient Mariner - Lado Earth Silverburst
10. Run To The Hills - 8431 Jackson Signature prototype in drop D or Ibanez Destroyer in drop D
11. Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son - 1986 Jackson Superstrat
12. The Trooper - Les Paul Goldtop or Lado Earth Silverburst or 1986 Jackson Superstrat
13. Hallowed Be Thy Name - Les Paul Goldtop or Lado Earth Silverburst or 1986 Jackson Superstrat
14. Iron Maiden - Ibanez Destroyer in drop D
15. Aces Mid-Height - Lado Earth Silverburst
16. Fear Of The Dark - 8431 Jackson Signature prototype in drop D or Les Paul Goldtop in drop D
17. Wasted Years - 1986 Jackson Superstrat

So, we are 2 guitars away from H going full on 80's guitars showcase on this tour. And both of those are in working condition (they both appeared on En Vivo). I have a feeling that the Goldtop might come out during UK shows...
That would be so nice and special. He might add the Goldtop for next year, who knows. Don't forget the Gibson SG (POM tour). The Jackson Superstrat would be cool for Wasted Years. The Hammer, the Dean ML and the SIASL guitar would be a big surprise! Or the blue Lado. For your list, where's the black Lado?

Hi guys new to the forum I am a teenager from Bulgaria and I am going to the Paris gig. Would love if someone can tell me where should I search for the exclusive event (city) shirt. At the Dive bar, or infront or inside the venue. If its outside or inside the venue can someone please tell me what time do I have to go to secure one. Thanks in advance :)
A week or so prior to the gig you will receive a mail with all information about the concerts. If there is a merch booth outside the venue it will be shown on map, with directions and working hours. I think coming half an hour earlier from opening time is enough.
Also, I've seen there's Eddie Dive bar in Paris for three days and so far they sold merch at those, so that may be a safer bet.

I don't think he'll play the SG again. He's said in numerous interviews he doesn't like the physical balance of it, the way the neck weighs down when held.

One of the few songs I prefer with Paul is Killers. I always loved the "I've done it agaaaain" part, which wasn't present in the live versions. Apparently they've finally included that again though.

The full show from 6/9 at Royal Arene is up on YouTube and the band sounds absolutely tremendous. I mean locked in like a machine. And Bruce sounds phenomenal this show.

Re Simon's intro on "Murders," I've heard it enough times to know its absolutely a deliberate choice. I'm used to it now. He's really settling in now and playing some really nice stuff.

Re backing tracks...I doubt it. There are parts played offstage by the keyboardist (I don't know if its still Michael Kenney, forgive me) but there are still enough flubs that tell me that's Maiden performs 100% live. Bruce having issues hearing while up on the platform behind the drums or Adrian's occasional frustrations where he'll stop playing til they get back in.
Just watched the full show. Awesome. Bruce comes in early in RTTH but even Aces sounded good to me. And I would much, much rather have a proper live performance like this than some unholy KISS or Crüe taped bullshit.

Blue Lado and SIASL guitars were midi guitars and most likely won't be back, as they were made for a particular purpose.

SG is the same one that was played between 2005 and 2013.

The black Lado kinda falls out of use if you add the 1986 Superstrat and Goldtop. Despite it sounding better than the grey one at the moment and having no feedback issues (the grey one has some), the grey guitar is more iconic due to being used on Live After Death. The black Lado was replaced with the Goldtop on World Slavery Tour somewhere around the UK 1st leg.

Can someone post the Youtube link, please? I have been unable to find it.

Thanks in advance!

Aces is still a strugglefest and should've been retired after the sub-par 2022 performances.

The Copenhagen performance was the best of the tour, but it doesn't come close to the last good performances of the song, which were in 2019.

Lzzy Hale wrote this on Reddit in response to Halestorm playing five new songs from the upcoming album. Only two of the songs are released, so it's a very bold move by them.

Our sole purpose as the sole opener on this tour is to pump up the crowd for the legendary Iron Maiden, our new songs are winning over their audience and we are being received very well. According to the band and their crew this is the first time in years that an opener has not been greeting with middle fingers. We also, in true fashion, do whatever we want and chase what gets US excited…Because we are Fans of the music we create. We are so grateful to the entire Iron Maiden fleet for having us on this grand adventure.

It's simple. They are the first great opening band that fits with Maiden's music style in ages. And that's why IM fans are welcoming them with open arms.

I don't know about Rime, the visuals distract me and I find them awful. I also don't like the Phantom stair thing (probably AI too), but the sound is perfect.
Hallowed is too fast for Bruce nowadays and also the visuals aren't great. (except the part that he's being chased by death, that's awesome)
SSOASS is my no2, I think. WY and FOTD visuals are awesome too.
Powerslave visuals are just so simple and yet effective.
IMO it's something like: 1. Powerslave, 2. SSOASS, 3. WY, 4. Phantom and then 5. FOTD.
The worst ones performance wise are Murders and Aces imho and I also don't like the Aces visuals.
Everything is subjective, but some Rime visuals are objectively bad and I don't know how they decided that this is OK. Otherwise, I really like the performance.
I dont like the stage and the "new toys". All could be better but during iron maiden is horrible. Sevent mariner and that magician tricks during hallowed... dont know i prefer the old backdrops and the classic big eddie

I am a bit surprised that comment comes from Maiden, given that The Raven Age has supported them for 10 years now. And her telling everyone that.

I think the band and crew just wanted to encourage them. Although it is true that some brainless Maiden fans have been ruse to opening bands, the claim of them all getting the middle finger is an exaggeration. I have been at gigs where the support acts got a great reception: Helloween (1996 and 1998), Megadeth (1999), Gamma Ray (2003), Anthrax (2013), etc.

The best for the states has to of been Give me Ed in 2003 with Dio and Motörhead!! That’s the last time I was super excited about the whole lineup.
