RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

The only slight disappointment, unfortunately, was the sound. I was standing all the way in the back near the stands, which I understand is probably not the best spot for ideal sound quality. However, I’ve never encountered this particular issue at a concert before. During some songs, it felt like someone was turning a knob for volume and sound effects back and forth. At times the sound was sharp and clear, other times muffled. Sometimes everything was loud, and other times quite weak. Unfortunately, I didn’t record any video, but if anyone filmed from the back or the stands, it might be audible somewhere.
This is just the norm at outdoor shows the further back you go, especially if there's a wind. Sound waves bouncing and being blown around. It's pretty much what every festival sounds like.

I’d be very surprised if Maiden are not one of the headliners of Download Festival in 2026.
I don't think they will, at that point they would have to squeeze in Australia, NZ, Asia, Extensive US, Canada, Mexico run and South America in all after June which won't happen, stacking that many dates in a year covering the entire world is long over for them

What about Balkan region? They used to be there regularly...
it can't be ruled out there might be a few European shows next year before they head to Asia / Australia like they have before, if that happens it will be a very select few tho. But with there regular tour pattern these days I don't expect it.

Well, the opening rolls for Murders sounded more consistent, still sounds like Simon's exit point to the straight hits on the snare is still early though.
At this point I think it's just the way he plays it, his style, like Nicko with Clive's songs. He plays most of the fills differently than Nicko, and while he doesn't have his swing(no), the songs are all effective (Trooper, Clairvoyant, Powerslave, Seventh Son...) and very solid. Clive's playing is tricky, but he puts hits own style very well on them. Hallowed is close to the original, the opening 4 songs are great for him.

I think Simon is doing an amazing job. That said, the only song that I feel like it didn't reach Nicko's performance was Powerslave. Others sound great.

I noticed now that the Trooper backdrop on the screen has the clip on both sides, like during TFP tour. Niice.

And is it just me, or the drum kit has some additional lights on it? Simon's playing is kind of growing on me, although I miss Nicko's fills.

edit: I just love how the stage looks during Powerslave, Murders and Wasted. And I bet Steve loves the Killers screen. I want a concert video, this show deserves it.

Oh, I haven't even noticed anything off with Powerslave and think he's doing a thoroughly solid job so far. I guess you're perhaps right on this just being his way of doing the Murders intro as the rest of the band and the pyro haven't had much of an issue getting in right on the beat. (Unless they've all got in-ears now? Naaaaaah, this band?)

Powerslave is missing Nicko's swing IMO.

I am pumped for London. I was giving my friends a song by song update when the setlist was being revealed. They were most excited for the ‘classics’. I don’t blame them. They are great songs. Sure I would have loved Infinite Dreams or some other deep cut, but I feel this tour is trying to cater for more casual fans with some epics and more obscure songs for fans like me. Hearing MITRM again and Killers for the first time are both moments I am looking forward to.
We can all complain about the same songs being played, but they're classics for a reason. Casual set to the core, which is fitting even now (2008 too), more so than in 2012. After this set I expect them also to return for future tours:

Evil, Revelations, Children, Icarus, Heaven, Madness, Prisoner, Wicker Man, Blood Brothers, Moonchild, etc... dunno about Running Free/Sanctuary.
I only picture Run For Your Lives going to a third year if they're going to sprinkle in one or two brand new songs in there to then transition to a new album tour in early-2028.
The current set is not creative at all (3rd leg with just a couple of changes, please no) - but they could use 2027 to record before the release, like in 2014. Playing a new song during a 3rd leg is not out of the question, why not. It would be even better if the 3rd leg is Part 2 of the current, that's the only approach that can justify it. New album in 2027 at the latest. But Bruce will release his new solo album (and tour) then too, so idk. Maybe in 2028, along with the start of the tour. Maiden could record next year and release it after the tour, with the shows starting in early 2027 and Bruce in the fall. It's possible, right.

Judging from their respective calendars, I wouldn't be surprised that Maiden (likely) and Metallica (very likely) would headline Hellfest again next year. :)

I was at the Prague show, the band were pretty solid initially and got stronger as the night went on to the point where it was a good as I've heard them. Simon was on point, and Davey was pretty wild and loose! But there was a definite cock-up on MITRM which threw Bruce in particular. The first verse was way off, I'm sure they'll iron these things out, Bruce made the comment that Rod called it a warm up gig infront of 60,000!
Loved the set but if I'm honest I prefer a mix of old and new. I missed a lot of the reunion classics so I hope it's not too long for a new record and tour.
Final points, MITRM might be a brave choice for an opener but it doesn't work. And Aces was great, don't get the hate!

A few impressions from Bratislava:
The sound was great tonight (even better than Budapest2)and the band in top form. How lucky I am to see them in such a small arena. Smallest place for me since Virtual XI Tour in Paris.
Powerplave is absolutely massive, sounds so huge and tight, maybe the highlight of the tour so far with 7th son. Bruce had a few hearing problems at the beginning an end of the show, he asked for a higher mix.
Before the show started, Leana couldn't find her seat and went into the wrong row. She walks right in front of me, I asked for a selfie but she declined - she doesn't like pictures she said ahah.
