RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

I do think it's kinda funny how we ended up exactly where I figured we would: a hits setlist like no other, with one song that hasn't been played in quite a while and a couple of unexpected picks and missing exactly one of the proper hits. Which is fine. But the stage show, I dunno what the deal is but the screen by itself, while cool at times, really doesn't feel like it comes even close to topping everything we got for LOTB.

I personally feel like this setlist was relying too much on Rime, 7th Son and Phantom, aka, the epics.

Great songs but the rest was just so incredibly bland (exception of Killers). Encore was uninspired and the fact they reused LotB assets is disappointing.
I thought the heavy intro first 4 excellent. Rime SSOASS not my thing but I appreciate it - lots of meh in the middle and end

Yeah I have to say I'm also quite disappointed by the encore. Take away Aces and Wasted Years from there...

But overall, the setlist is awesome! Speedy beginning with Killers stuff, PHANTOM, POWERSLAVE, MARINER, SOASS. Put some sure singalongs in there with 666, 2MTM and RTTH and you're done. It's going to be an awesome setlist to be there live.

The screen visuals really take the show to a next level and Simon is just what they needed. To me he sounds "old" like the rest of the band but plays tight and consistent.

Mmmmm.... Killers, MITRM, Powerslave...

Only thing I would've changed: Switch Aces High with something from NPFTD.

Also, we got all possible title tracks, except two:
Iron Maiden, Killers, TNOTB, Powerslave, SSOASS, FOTD
CSIT was on the last tour, NPFTD was ignored.

An amazing show. It's the 50th so the "hits' and crowd pleasers are expected. As a huge Killers fan I'm glad we got 3 of those including the title track. The giant video wall was amazing, I liked the POM Eddie. I loved that they've done something new and fresh. I had thought for years they could do so much with animation. I thought Simon was fantastic. He brought it and I think he's given a rejuvenated spark to the band. The only thing that could have made this show better for me was Infinite Dreams. But I'm not disappointed. I can only imagine how awesome this show will be in person and I can't wait to see it (hopefully) next year.

The absence of NPFTD shocks me honestly. Don't advertise it as "first 9 albums" and completely skip over one of those....
Totally agree

A quick reaction, with little hindsight and after watching the concert behind a screen:

+:
- Simon's performance, hence his positive influence on the overall musicianship of the band.
- The place given to the Killers album.
- The screens and pyro
- Though quite safe, the setlist included nothing but great songs.

-:
- the absence of any No Prayer song or any other deep cut apart from "Killers", or of any 'rock' song that would have lightened up the encores.
- Janick being somewhat underused.
- "Aces High" ...again! and put in a very diffult position for Bruce.

However, if I get the opportunity the tour, I guess I would enjoy it a lot live.

...and the optimist in me says:
"They will rotate setlists" (a bit too optimistic, perhaps)
"They declare that Simon have made them want to play fast songs again and they drop a really fresh new album next year after blackmailing Steve into not producing it". :D

Can't say I'm disappointed, other than Aces High in the encore is bit of a letdown.

The set is exactly what was expected: mostly greatest hits, but some show centerpiece epic(s), a couple of pleasant classic inclusions (Powerslave, The Clairvoyant) and couple of very welcome, less-played additions from the early days (Killers, Murders) thrown into the mix.

I mean yeah, I was hoping for Infinite Dreams, but didn't exactly expect it. Both Rime & Seventh Son are a fine compensation for that, although it's still sad that my biggest Maiden favourite probably won't get played again.

So uhh. Cool. Biggest surprises: both, Rime & Seventh Son and the omission of Running Free.

The encore isn't that bad. The downside is Aces High (the vocals). Fear is staged to perfection and WY is the kind of song you want at the end.
Yeah that's also my opinion... I mean, if Bruce still could sing Aces it would be predictable but great. Aces and Wasted Years? Sign me up. But once again: time does not forgive.
