1. The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner - it’s just a perfect song, perfect melodies, perfect instrumental, amazing vocals, and harmonies like no other 10/10
2. Deja Vu - same as above, but a little more straightforward, and strange that it doesn’t have a solo. I don’t care though, the instrumental bit in the middle makes me feel like I’m being reborn 10/10
3. Caught Somewhere in Time - amazing rockin tune, a perfect song 10/10
4. Wasted Years - it’s a perfect 80s radio rock song. Maximum nostalgia with this one. the lyrics hit hard 10/10
5. Heaven Can Wait - this song is also the epitome of the sound and vibe of Somewhere in Time. The middle whoa oh section is so emotional 9.5/10
6. Sea of Madness - I used to not like this song, but I’ve always loved the slow section where Bruce goes “ooooooh”. Now I like the whole song, the bass grooves and the drumming (and everything else) are fantastic 8.5/10
7. Stranger in a Strange Land - a much needed slow groovy song on the album. Obviously Adrian’s solo is the best part. The performance of this song live on the Future Past Tour has elevated it for me 8.5/10
8. Alexander the Great - also elevated by the Future Past Tour performances. It’s a great song, but one that I was never obsessed with like other people. But still it’s part of SiT, so it’s also fantastic. 8/10
