That isn't easy. Besides war, I see that lots of snipers did their work in between wars or during oppressions (currently snipers are busy in Syria). And from what distance is a shot defined as sniper shot?

I have no clue but I am certainly interested in how this was measured, and of course: who was this "sneaky" person.

I didn't know his name, but I know that Sabaton recorded a song about him, called "White Death"

Yeah, I was thinking of him too. Since the name Vap posted sounds very Finnish, I'm going with that.

Any distance, as long as it's from sniper rifle.

Simo Häyhä.

And you sir, are correct.

Simo Häyhä A.K.A. White Death had around 500 confirmed kills with his rifle during Winter War (1939-1940).

More information about White Death can be found at the very start of this article:

His story is indeed quite incredible, he had 542 recorded kills with his sniper rifle (as well as a further 150 or so with a sub-machine gun) and survived many fearsome injuries. He was so infamous that the Russians mounted missions solely for the purpose of killing him, all of which failed.

River Styx, Travel In Stygian, Dante's Inferno!

EDIT: Wait, probably wrong cause those two aren't IE's best songs! :P

Which Iron Maiden song certainly must have served as inspiration for the melody (guitar riff) from 1:40 til 2:45 in this old Amorphis track:

Which guitarist was able to create and finance his must commercially successful album after appearing as a guest musician on Blue Oyster Cult's Imaginos?

Ah well, I still find it nice to share such stuff (and I am curious to see how easy it really was). :)
Did you know the song already?

@Dityn: I'd need to look that one up, so I skip it.

The Amorphis song, you mean? No, never heard it before. But this part of AtG is very distinct. Actually, the whole instrumental part of the song is unique.
