My proudest achievement to date* is knowing the winners of each Footie World Cup ever.

*Not actually my proudest achievement.

Zare, your answer is correct.
On Sunday, 30 June, Brazil was crowned 2002 F.I.F.A. World Cup champions for a record 5th time after beating Germany 2-0 in the Final in Yokohama, Japan, through goals from Ronaldo in the 67th and 79th minutes.

From the top of my head, starting from the last one:

2006 - Italy
2002 - Brazil
1998 - France
1994 - Brazil
1990 - Germany
1986 - Argentina
1982 - Italy
1978 - West Germany
1974 - Argentina
1970 - Brazil
1966 - England
1962 - Brazil
1958 - Brazil
1954 - West Germany
1950 - Uruguay
1938 - Italy
1934 - Italy
1930 - Uruguay

Did I get the order of the winners in '74 and '78 right?

Other way around I'm afraid. Germany in '74 and Argentina in '78. I always used to get the 70's and 80's winners confused. But from '62 the winners alternated from South America to Europe every year which makes it easier to remember.

I don't, especially not the seventies since I am Dutch.  :D

Technically it's my turn cause i got that answer right. (doh!)
Let's stay at FIFA World Cup, this one is pretty much easy to google, but try without it.

Who is the only player in World Cup history that scored goals for two national teams?

Does Germany and West Germany count as 2 different countries? If so then I'd tentatively guess at Rudi Voller being the one German Footballer I know from that time...

They probably count as different countries, but it's not important since our subject is not German.

I would hazard a guess that the player had played for Yugoslavia but later played for Croatia - judging by Zare's nationality. ;)

But I don't know who - at a wild stab in the dark: Suker?

I'm guessing I'm right it was a Croatian that played for Yugoslavia. I know back in the late 80's and until their demise, the Yugoslav's had a damn good team, and Croatia in the 90's was just as good. So, the chances that a player played for both Yugoslavia in the 90 World Cup (I know they were there then) and Croatia in the 98 World Cup (and the Croatians were definitely there then) was a good possibility.

Google may become the tool to use - if this drags on a bit. :D
