I do sympathise with your luck of late, but I hope this set of experiences hasn't made you automatically put up a guard when dealing with someone you have not met before. Funnily enough I've never had steel-toed boots, but I've had army combat boots since I can remember. My dad, retired Mexican army Lt. Colonel, got us pairs all the time growing up and even 4 years ago he got me a pair I'm sure I left lol. It's ok, because my ex, an E-7, got me a pair last month and they are different from the Mexican boots.
Funny you should say that, but I have had some real morbid thoughts of late - stuff I would never have thought of before.
