Yes, he is highly regarded.
The title will be: “Di'Anno: Iron Maiden's Lost Singer.”
Could “lost” also be wordplay? I don't want to make false assumptions, since English is not my native language.

Yes, absolutely. Paul himself said that the film will show a lot of raw emotions, such as despair, but that he trusted Wes.
I think it's a real counterpart to the way the Iron Maiden documentary will be made.

I don't think Iron Maiden had any influence on this documentary, which follows Paul's life.
It shows, the trailer looks pretty bad to me. Soundtrack quality is awful.

Selling point is having people like Hetfield interviewed for the doc.

But the whole thing looks exploitative. Stjepan Juras's repeated assertions that Dianno consented to all of it still sit uneasily with me. Yes, Dianno consented but from a position of what seems like total vulnerability. I guess the Dianno story would always have a bad ending, but I just wish it wasn't filmed for the world to see. Urgh.

The Chris Dale book about Diannos last tour in Oz was read by a mate of mine, he reported back to me, some it makes for unedifying reading. I won't be reading it based on this.

Not trying to take a moral high ground, but this is material that doesn't appeal to me.

Honestly, I think the director's Lemmy film was rather exploitative, too.

I get that people think Lemmy was a hero (I was a huge Motorhead fan when I was a kid) - but that film made him look like a bloated, alcoholic drug addict. Which he was, really - even his last manager has said as much.
