Second group of promoted songs joins the finals!

Mist
Master's
Disease
Chrysalis

Master's Apprentices, Grand Conjuration, and Heir Apparent all fulfill the same basic role on their respective albums (the crushing, heavy, demonic song) and though I truly like or love all three, Grand Conjuration is easily the strongest.

WTF is with all of the Demon of the Fall votes? Is this just the "overplayed, overrated" syndrome we love around here? Is this Opeth's "Run to the Hills"?

MAYH has had a terrible showing overall, which is a shame.

Demon of the Fall is a Top 10 song, at least a borderline Top 10 song.

I think that MAYH taken on its own is a solid piece of music. Demon of the Fall is undoubtedly the strongest track on it, but nothing from this album really stands out compared to the rest of the band's discography. It works as a self-contained unit, but it can't stack up to the greats from the Still Life through Ghost Reveries era.
