The verses in Bleak are undisputable cool parts.

    Blackwater Park. Bleak flows beautifully.
  3. Detective Beauregard

Detective Beauregard Barrels of Rum! Black Powder!

I like the ghost guitars, but the rest is just kind of plodding. My favorite parts are the chorus and the instrumental interludes.

Probably the best Opeth Top 10 so far, still not perfect though. But I'm satisfied :) Thanks to all the voters!
  6. The Flash

The Flash Dennis Wilcock did 9/11

Definitely satisfied with the Top 10. Nearly identical to mine. Thanks for hosting!

Overall, moderately satisfied. Except Ghost of Perdition should be number 1.
  8. Detective Beauregard

Detective Beauregard Barrels of Rum! Black Powder!

    - Ghost of Perdition and Harlequin Forest are too far down on the list, but at least they're present.
    - While I wouldn't place any Still Life song in the top 10 (the album as a whole is consistent but nothing is good enough on its own), I understand why people like them.
    - Hope Leaves would be in my top 10, as I think it's every bit as strong as Windowpane.
    - Devil's Orchard does not belong here, nor does any song post-Watershed (save for perhaps Faith in Others, but even that's a long shot).
    - I've always thought Bleak and Drapery Falls were slightly overrated, but just like the two Still Life tunes, I understand their presence here.
    - I'm shocked that Demon of the Fall isn't in the top 10, but I'm not a huge fan so I'm cool with it.
    - Blackwater Park is probably my favorite all-around Opeth song, so I'm happy with that.

Thanks for hosting Night Prowler. Thanks to the others for giving their lengthy opinions. This was the last time I'm playing lengthy Opeth games (I'm not expecting much change in the future. This small group of people largely agrees on the discography and my contribution makes zero difference in the result).

I don't think anybody's contribution makes a difference in the result outside of the votes they have. The point of talking about the songs and the albums is to have a conversation, not to convince people to think otherwise.

Voting in these survivors are a matter of taste, you can't talk someone into liking a song or an album or talk them out of doing so.
