On a scale of 1-5, how bad is the wait for you for TFF?

Three I guess. I'm gonna buy it on the release day for sure, but I'm not shitting my pants because of the excitement or anything. I'm more excited about seeing Maiden live on august 8th at Sonisphere Finland. I guess after that gig, the one week wait is gonna be unbearable.

Waiting isn't all that difficult - although I'm immensely excited for new Maiden, I've found ways to keep myself occupied. Currently exploring Rush - a band I wasn't too familiar with up until a couple of months ago - I can listen to a new album every week up until TFF is released! I don't think the people who rated low on this scale are bad fans as some are suggesting - they are simply the ones who have best prepared themselves for the long wait still remaining. Ask again a couple days before the album drops...

I'd say I'm about a 4.  I am extremely excited for TFF but if it leaks I will not download it.  I'm having a listening party with several fellow maiden fans so I'm going to have the CD for several hours before I actually hear it.  That's gonna take some willpower!

I voted a 4. I haven't looked forward to anything this much since AMOLAD. If I keep myself busy I'm alright, but if I have a spare minute my mind does admittedly wander to the subject of the Final Frontier.

It's one of my most highly anticipated albums of the year, but to be honest, I was disappointed by the studio version of El Dorado. I thought it sounded much better live.

The Final Frontier also sounded a bit boring, although better. I hope that the rest of the album is better than those two tracks...or, meh, maybe they'll grow on me.

If it is meant to be released on 16. august then it is meant to be so we must wait and I can wait, but the more reviews I read and the closer the releasedate comes, the more agonising the wait is, but I have plan to keep myself busy. 14 days before the releasedate I will start listening every maiden album in it's entirety- 1 in a day

Ha, it's comforting to know that I'm not the only one who does this.

But to be fair, I've listened to a Maiden record pretty much everyday since January.

I'll listen to every studio album (including The Soundhouse Tapes and every album related studio b-sides), one per day 'til August 18th - which is the release date in Brasil for The Final Frontier - and of course on this day, I'll blast the album at full force on my stereo.
