"I have 70,000,000 posts and I'm a mod   I'm great. Yah I say one word answers. I'm not excited about the album.  I can wait.  I am so cool, I'll just say I don't care about the new video."  Man how lame.  This is an Iron Maiden Chat board fellas!!  If you don't care so much, and can wait, whatever, when it comes it comes...WTF Man!!  Where is the energy? Some of you have been on here so long, you've forgotten why you came in in the first place.  This is IRON STINKING Maiden!!!  Go ahead, cool guy, say "yah, still a 2" or I can wait, when it's here, it's here"  This makes you cool?  This makes you some veteran poster?  This makes you look like a tired old Alice cooper groupie, that is all.  
  Wake up fellas.  It's like speaking to a bunch of been bag chairs in here!!  Take a lesson from Fonz Bear or whatever his name is.  That dude makes it exciting to come in here.  Some of you "old Timers", thinking we give a rat about your status or something, come in here and sloth around the good posts with your conceited better than thou attitudes and drag this room down big time. Then another one chimes in "yah, what he said"  thinking this makes you look interesting. NOT.  Iron Maiden.  That's why YOU are here.  They have a new song and video TOMORROW!!  If you don't care, why are you here.  Because you have a thousand posts? I'll probably get banned for calling some of you out. But hey, if this room is full of old guys that "Can wait, no problem" Than this is not a real MAIDEN CHAT ROOM anyway.. No offense guys, but Come on.....
 
Ok, I'm a noob and I can still wait for the new album and song. It really isn't an issue. I've waited for plenty of other things in my life, video games, music, etc and I can handle this - even if it's a biggie.

I'm not saying come August the 15th I'll be pretty excited about it but I've got over a month till then and my anticipation can wait.

Also hyping an album up too much is one easy way to make it an instant disappointment.
 
Ok, fair enough man.  Obviously you, me, all of us CAN wait for the album. And thanx for at least admitting your excitement.  We have to wait, and nobody will cease to breathe without the new album.  But it is these conceited so called fans that feel the need to answer every topic with "1 on a scale of five, and I don't think about it" that have me perplexed as to why they pay attention to IRON MAIDEN forums at all.

I'm with ya bornless1!  I understand that not everyone gets into it the way we do, and it can be frustrating, especially for people like me, who don't have really anywhere else to go and share the Maiden love!  Perhaps that is why the frustration is high with those who seem like they could care less.

Why should I pretend to be on the edge of darkness when I already know the legacy of Iron Maiden? Let's be honest here - I could go off and run to the hills about this new album, but we already know that I'm going to love it. If I get worked up then every day I wait becomes the longest day, and I don't want to do that. I don't want to live my life on a razor's edge, you know what I mean? Why should I act like a three year old who probably has a fear of the dark? Let's get with it.

The fact of the matter is that you asked me a question, and I answered it. I love Maiden, of course I do - but I have a life to live beyond the band. Of course, the closer it gets, the more excited I will become. I think the simple fact here is that I know it's going to be great. I know I'm going to love every second of it...that takes out a bit of the magic.

I agree with you, however, just because some of us get super, mega, ultra excited doesn't mean we don't have a life outside of them. A new album from them is a huge deal and we all have our own ways of dealing with it. :)
 
Yes, that's right. And just because some members who have been here for awhile aren't jacking off publicly about it doesn't mean they deserve to be berated, either.
 
Tomorrow, the excitement will become a lot higher 'cos it's the opening song and that's what make me fucking freak out! I have the same feeling as LooseCannon - I know I'm gonna love this new album! I can wait, but I can't contain my excitement. Everyday thinking and looking for reviews of The Final Frontier and by the way, I found 8 reviews, all in French.
 
J'ing off publicly?  Wow!!  Yah that sounds about right!!!  Hey, let's all get along here on this Great Night in the history of Maiden!!  This is like Christmas Eve, and we are all family!!
 
That last review with the morons eating the buffet the whole time...what a joke.  I need to hear this thing myself and forget what today's "critics" or "critiques" have to say.  El Dorado is a very good song, not the best but very good.  Not going to make any kind of judgment on the Final Frontier/Satelite 15 til probably around noon tomorrow [or until I have 5 or 6 good listens]. 
   
 
Well it looks like we're back to . . .
the one line chorus, at least for the first song on the album. (according to one of the French reviews.
