I heard today that each curling 'stone' costs around £500. Not exactly a sport for kids to take up in their back yard!

Curling was invented for the guy who would show up at the hockey rink with his little brother so to give him something to do they would say "Ah what the hell here's a broom go sweep the ice" [img src=\"style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /] (No not really)

They don't quite say it that simply on TV, they have big fancy terms for everything.

It takes years to get good at mowing the lawn too.

So I finally viewed the games I taped, Finland vs. Russia and the Gold medal Game.... I feel empty. The Finns deserved that medal more than Sweden, however it was a good game, specially the last ten minutes. However it has got to suck to get the silver medal, because you don't "win" a silver medal (at least in this case) you lose gold....
