Official thread for Final Frontier discussion

I took a good 2 weeks off from listening to The Final Frontier at all and just put it on a short time ago.

Yeah, I still really love this album. 
 
well after letting the album sink in, and playing AMOLAD (my favorite reunion album) back to back with it I decided that, I still like AMOLAD more. TFF may have the songs but AMOLAD just flows better as an album. So A Matter of Life and Death is still my favorite reunion album. (TFF a close second) I think if the album would've ended on Starblind and the tracklisting was a bit different it might have ranked higher than Death. Maybe with a track list like this?

Well after listening to it a hundred more times, I can honestly put this album in my top three. It's bloody brilliant.
 
1. El Dorado (this one, surprisingly, is the biggest "grower" to me - love that galloping riff)

After half a year of listening to this album I don't think it's as good as 'A Matter of Life and Death', but it's as good as 'Brave New World'.  Which is damn good!

After listening to this album several times, I can conclude that it was booooring  :down:

Find it quite hard to get into any of the reunion albums...

Give them all a few more listens Dude... some of it takes awhile to digest.

You just don't like long songs do you? You're missing out on some great stuff.

This! The reunion era is fantastic, besides half of Dance of Death, which some people have been able to get into but not me :)
 
There are some bearable songs, such as El Dorado or Starblind, but overall it doesn't seem particularly special.

Its a bit like an album full of fillers and B-sides.  :down:

How one can call a master piece like Isle Of Avalon filler is beyond my mind's comprehension.

It's been 9 months (almost) since The Final Frontier was released, and I have say it's one of the best albums I've ever heard, and that after 9 months it still sounds fresh and exciting just like it was when it was released. Having said that, my list of favorite albums goes like this
