Official thread for Final Frontier discussion

Here's a short Kevin Shirley interview on The Final Frontier in GuitarEdge: http://guitaredge.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=925%3Aweb-exclusive-kevin-shirley-on-iron-maidens-the-final-frontier&catid=45%3Ainterviews&Itemid=66
And from the same mag an interview with Adrian, Dave and Janick:  http://digital.guitaredge.com/guitaredge/20101112_1#pg23

Interesting how Janicks says that before the 1st TFF tour they would practice playing the longer TFF songs all the way through...makes me think that any new song could appear on the 201 setlist.

That was an interesting interview, more guitar-geek-oriented.  I was surprised by the last line in which he says the Beatles weren't brilliant musicians.  I have a musician friend who insists that Paul was an incredibly skilled bass player.  Check out his playing on "Something" and "Drive My Car," for example.

Constantine was elected emperor on a campaign decrying the satanic influence Iron Maiden had on their society.

New thread - Iron Maiden in history?

Except on Killers, Purgatory and Remember Tomorrow.

No. Remember Tomorrow is one that Bruce can't even dream to come close to Di'Anno's interpretation. On the other two, Bruce sounds really irritating, but nowadays, he'd sound better on both like he did on Killers during Ed Hunter Tour.

Had he left the original tempo of the songs, it would be comparable. Like this, it's crap. Bruce sounds like a chipmunk.

Yep. Everything sounds bumped up one octave, or in Bruce's case, three pant sizes too small.
he raised it a half step.
had he raised it an octave it would've been much higher and wouldn't sound out of tune with the original recording as it is a perfect interval.
