Or Sampras vs Agassi, Becker vs Edberg, or Rosewall -Gonzales (or Laver). ;)

If Nadal wins this Tournament he will have more Grand Slam titles than Pete Sampras.

If Federer wins he will be the only one with five Australian Open titles. Djokovic and Roy Emerson have six.

It's good that everyone considers Nadal a clear favorite for the semifinal. The tension would be much higher for him, as are people's expectations. A good position for Dimitrov, who has nothing to lose.

I remember when Federer knocked Sampras out of Wimbledon and people argued about whether he would become a dominant player. ;)

I hadn't looked it up yet, but which player has the longest time in between two Grand Slam victories? I guess Federer could get into the top 10 or even 5 if he wins this tournament.

Setpoint Dimitrov!

edit: ai, Nadal made a great shot there.
edit 2: second setpoint!
edit 3: sh..
edit 4: 3rd Dimitrov setpoint! What a rally!
edit 5: Too 'kin bad.
edit 6: 4th setpoint for Dimitrov.
edit 7: ace Nadal. :/
edit 8: Nadal wins the game.

6-3 (set for Nadal), 5-5 (Dimitrov serves)

edit 9:
Dimitrov wins the 2nd set! Nadal the third, Dimitrov takes the next tiebreak! The fifth set is on!

6-3, 5-7, 7-6, 6-7,

He really got close to getting that last set.... two break points. Nadal suddenly injected some extra mental power.

The real turning point in the last set was the unfortunate net-out ball that allowed Nadal to break Grigor.

It was a tough moment for Grigor when he could not break Nadal. He took a hard beating there. Match was over quickly right after that.

Twenty years ago they met for the first time on the WTA circuit. Now they form the oldest final ever: Serena is 35 and Venus 36. The latter hadn't reached a Grand Slam in eight years, during which she learned to deal with a disease. It is fantastic that the old number one made it to this result again. If Serena wins this match she will have the most Grand Slams Single titlesby, even beating the legendary Steffi Graf. At this moment of writing, both won 22.

Whatever happens, this is bound to be a huge match. Let's get ready for Sister Act 28. Serena won 16 previous matches, Venus 11.

Will Serena, the hardhitter with mighty service, make it 17-11? Or will we witness the miracle of Venus? More grace and technique, the lesser of the two for a number of years.

So far, it's disappointing and frustrating to see that Venus at times plays so great that you think she could win, but then the next moment (also when she dominates a rally) she hits the net. Very irregular. Too irregular to beat Serena. I'm afraid it's all over soon.

Yep, Serena wins! A record breaking 23 Grand Slam singles titles.
Serena Williams:
Australian Open (2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2015, 2017) 7
French Open (2002, 2013, 2015) 3
Wimbledon (2002, 2003, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2015, 2016) 7
US Open (1999, 2002, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2014) 6

Venus sticks to 7:
Venus Williams:
Wimbledon (2000, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2008) 5
US Open (2000, 2001) 2

Edit:
I realize that Margaret Court won 24 Grand Slams (singles), but 13 of these were pre-Open Era (pre-1969). Ah well, 24 is still a nice goal for Serena to beat. ;)

Margaret Court:
Australian Open (1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1973) 11
French Open (1962, 1964, 1969, 1970, 1973) 5
Wimbledon (1963, 1965, 1970) 3
US Open (1962, 1965, 1969, 1970, 1973) 5
