Official Star Wars Thread

I think that's what make the PT (Prequel Trilogy) so hard to enjoy. They really don't seem to stand on their own. The OT stands with no problem...the PT needs too much outside influence to make sense.
 
Was it mentioned here that Carrie Fisher said yes to starring in the next SW movie? I read it a few days ago. I guess everyone here already know about it though ;)
 
I really enjoy Star Wars, but outside of The Knights of the Old Republic games and some of the books around that "era" have never been able to get into the expanded universe stuff too much. I like some other games (like Battle Front and to a lesser extent Force Unleashed), but Battle Front does not have much story, they are just fun games.

It would be cool to see the Princess, Solo, and Luke in Episode VII to tie it to the end of Jedi ... and then be done with them or seriously diminish their roles in the next 2.
 
I've read some of the old Marvel comics. I guess that goes in under the expanded universe. And when I was a kid we had Tie Fighter on the PC. The EU did seem interesting to me at one point but there's a million books o_O
 
I very much like the story to end at ROTJ. I don't mind expanded universe within the same time period as the current films, or prior to that, but I can't quite get my head around opening up a whole new saga
 
As for the new saga, I guess it depends what they do and how good it is. Given the age of the actors and the time lapse between now and when Jedi came out, at least it will need to be set reasonably far in the future .. and really they can set it pretty far if they want. People seem to live longer in sci fi.

As far as the EU stuff, it is the multitude of books and the varying writing styles/quality that made me give up on it. I read some before Episode I came out and enjoyed them less and less the more I read.

Yeah the amount of EU is staggering and considering that it is in reality just fan fiction...I gave up on it.

For her age, she looks okay, she has put on a few lbs though ... nothing wrong with that, she certainly is not hot anymore ... but always will be on my ROTJ DVD
 
Never mind... I don't think it was a very recent pic. It was from IMDB. There are some very unflattering pics of her around on Google
